Jad was fantastic- I went from mousy brown and limp hair to blonde and bouncy curls within an hour and a half. Not only have I never had my hair highlighted, cut, and styled so quickly (usually it takes 4 hours at least due to thickness and length), but I have never been so happy with the result.

I got a hair cut and color with Sam yesterday. He did an amazing job!! I always have issues with salons thinning my hair. I don’t understand why, people pay a lot for extra hair, but Sam has never done that to me. I’ve had a lot of different haircuts at different salons and his bring out my kinky waves the best. He’s really good at reading people and can sense how they are feeling about the style. He also is honest about what will and won’t look good on you and won’t just do it because you are paying him. He will explain to you why he wouldn’t do it either and what your best options are. He’s really great at it! If you are looking for fancy salon amenities you will not find them here, but I would rather have a killer cut and color over fancy amenities and a mediocre cut any day. I highly recommend this place for people with thicker course hair that have had issues with salons not knowing how to manage their hair. Too many times I’ve seen them take out beautiful healthy hair to make their job easier. Not this place! They know how to handle it.

First and probably last time going to Saraya. I usually go to Mario Tricoci, but I was tired of them always messing my hair up, so I tried this place. While I love that Sam fixed my balayage, the process was less than favorable. I do like that Sam warned me he will have to tease my hair first, they still could have been more gentle with brushing my hair after shampooing. Intense tugging and no detangler or any other product was used. Although some people may favor a hair stylist’s opinion, he ultimately changed the look I was going for and my hair still isn’t an ombre. I had blonde ‘money pieces’ that were a bit too blonde, but now they are too dark.

I recently moved back to Chicago and was in desperate need of getting my hair done. After looking at places in the neighborhood I decided to come to Saraya Salon. I had such an amazing experience here. My hair was so soft from the Brazilian blowout and the highlights were beautiful and exactly what I asked for. The workers were very professional and friendly. They made me feel very welcome. I will be back that is for sure! I recommend this place!! 🙂

Jad is a wizard with the clippers and color!! He did a cut, color, Brazilian blowout all in 2.5 hours. I love love love getting my hair done here. The color is always better than expected and I really enjoy how friendly the salon is! I highly recommend this shop and supporting local business. I am very happy to have found this hair salon in the South Loop’s neighborhood. Every time I make an appointment, I leave the Saraya Salon with a quality haircut that looks great even after a month, and beyond. Jad is one of the best and talented hairstylists I have met. He always goes up and beyond to make sure that the service he provides is superb. I have done both haircuts and highlights with Jad and loved both. My highlights blended with my natural hair beautifully and that’s exactly the result I desired. Jad is also very gentle with hair which is a big plus. I will be back for my next haircut and recommend this salon for women’s haircut.

I have had my hair done for 15 years in a hair salon in Naperville. I was certain no one could blow dry my hair, only the person I had been going to. I’ve moved to City four years ago, and I drove weekly to Naperville. I was nervous coming to Saraya Solon as as walk in. Immediately I was accommodated. The wash and conditioning of my hair was and is fabulous, as well the blowdry. I need to say no more I go weekly! A must try, you will not regret it.
