Today was supposed to be my first visit at Sanctuary Medical Center. I received multiple text messages regarding my appt. I was never given Information in these messages to arrive 15 min early to fill out paperwork or anything about the specific location of the office. It is within a large group of buildings. Therefore, I planned to arrive at my appt time. I was running 5 min late and called the office to let them know. The receptionist said it is no problem and thank you for letting them know. I live 30 min from the office but chose to go there at the recommendation from a friend who is a patient. When I arrived, parking was very far from the office and it took me 5 more min to arrive therefore I ended up being 10 min late for the appt. I apologized for being late and front desk staff had me begin new patient paperwork. Then 5 min later, another staff member told me I could not be seen because I was so late and I should have come 15 min early to fill out paperwork. I politely told them that I called ahead and was never told about the 15 min window but was still told I cannot continue with my appt because she is booked today and cannot see me. There was no consideration for my timing or schedule for today. They offered to make another appt some other day but because of the circumstances, I am not likely to try again.
