My previous visit was also my last, due entirely to the fact that the staff openly use derogatory language towards African Americans while cutting hair; Muhammad Ali specifically, following his passing two weeks ago. While the staff is free to feel however they want, to directly and venomously attack a person based solely on the color of their skin is completely unacceptable and has no place in this town or this nation. While changing their minds seems unlikely, depriving them of any future business is something any customer can wield against them to take a stand for common human decency. The new owner Jack, should have the moral fortitude and strength to fire his employees, John specifically, as his silence and inaction on this matter is paramount to complicity. It is shameful that thoughts and words like these still pervade people’s minds in 2016.

I haven’t been to Sam’s in years (bad haircut before my wedding)…thought I would give them a second chance ….Jack the owner couldn’t cut my hair fast enough to get back his ice cream….3 minutes in and out….crooked neckline, UN EVEN JAGGED hair line between the clipper edge and the scissors edge ….if I could give less than one star I would ….now I have to go to a second barber to see if he can fix this hair cut …please don’t waste your time going there
