I’ve been going to Shawn for almost a year now. I’ve also been away at college for the past year but didn’t trust any of the nearby barbers around campus. Shawn’s work is GREAT. I’ve had my hair cut three different ways ever since I’ve been going to Shawn and he found ways to make them all look great. Also, the charge rate is undervalued for the work provided. $25 for a great head of hair is well worth it. Another great aspect is that Salon Paragon gives you the coffee shop feeling. You feel as though you are in a coffee shop because of the casualness of the salon. Every employee is friendly. I’ve been going to Shawn Durost for about three years now. I love changing hairstyles and he’s taken my hair through lots of different looks- layered, bobbed, long and super short and he’s also colored it brown, blond and highlighted. He’s amazing at cuts- listens to you and comes up with great technical cuts that work well for your hair. Unlike some other salons in town he does the color himself too, and I love that because he really knows how your hair will fall when it’s all done. He creates beautiful natural highlights. I trust him enough to walk in and say do something new- whatever you want– and am always happy with the result. And– he’s a really nice guy who is responsive and works to fit you in if you have an event or hair emergency.
