Chose Salon one as they were the only salon open in town after 8 pm, and every member of their team was very friendly, funny, and now my eyebrows look better than they ever have. Go there and you wont be disappointed.

Really, really bad all around. All I needed was touch-up on gray growth with a base color at the roots and to freshen up the highlights. What I ended up with is copper streaked hair over my previous highlights from a different salon (out of state), NO gray coverage, spots of bleach throughout that look like bald spots, and a ruined anniversary plan to go out of state to celebrate at our favorite annual rodeo because I had to go BACK in the next day so she could fix this mess. Then, to top it off the hairdresser had an attitude and kept looking at her watch (as if somehow this was my fault and I was keeping her from something). When I asked her to put the blonde highlights back (the ones I came in with before she touched my hair) she refused saying she had another appointment and did not have time. Yet I was still charged for a partial. I am really disappointed because I researched all the salons in Rapid City before I came out here for the summer and decided this one looked like the best one based upon the reviews and information provided on the website. I could not have been more wrong. My advice is to go elsewhere and stay far away from this one. Pictures of my hair before I went in (one standing by a tree and the other a back shot) and pictures after my hair was ruined at this salon are attached. What a mess. I would like a refund so I can go get it fixed somewhere else, which will end up costing twice as much plus more time. Very, very dissatisfied and highly disappointed. I absolutely do NOT recommend this salon.

I have as in the area and needed a quick root color. Darrell did a great job. I thought the price was reasonable and he talked extensively through the color options as he didn’t know what to expect of my hair. I felt he was very conscientious in trying to make the color match. Very happy!

The facial I got from Sue was amazing! The facials and nail salon is in the basement and the hair salon is on the main floor. It is so peaceful and relaxing downstairs. I also had my hair cut, bleached, and colored by Sue. I decided to go blue and a bunch of the stylists got in on the color mixing. You can tell that they love what they do! The whole experience was fun, cheerful, and empowering. All of the other customers seemed relaxed and happy as well. The stylists sure know how to take care of us!

Nancy was really nice, but my haircut wasn’t very pleasing. I asked for an inch off and long layers. Those standards were met, but I think she tried to frame it around my face a little bit and cut too much off. So now it just looks like a straight line of short hair then immediately goes to my long hair. Haircut

Had my appointment with Tory. I can honestly say that I LOVED the way my hair turned out!! The color was perfect and exactly what I wanted. I have been to several other places and have left feeling disappointed because it was really what I wanted. On top of the fact my hair was absolutely perfect, Tory had an amazing personality. We got along great!! She has so much experience and is very knowledgeable. I was so happy with my hair and her that I scheduled my next appointment to see her that day!! So happy that I’ve finally found the right stylist!! Thank you Salon One for hiring such a talented stylist and wonderful woman!!
