This is way overdue, but Jan did an excellent job with my hair for my 11.14.21 wedding! I originally did a trial with another stylist who ended up leaving before my wedding date and I live a few hours away, so I wasn’t able to do another trial with her before the day came. However, she managed bring my vision to life (and my wedding party as well) and I was so happy with how it turned out. Highly recommend!

This was close to the worst haircut of my life. I went in for a curly cut but the woman who cut my hair, who I believe is the owner, had no idea what she was doing. She started it by lightly shampooing and conditioning my hair and proceeded to dry it with a rough towel. She then lightly sprayed a deva product on there – she didn’t mention the name of it – and began the cut. After a few minutes of removing an inch from places at random and doing no face framing the haircut was “done”. My hair was still wet and my curls were completely a mess because the stylist kept breaking up my ringlets with her fingers during the cut. She didn’t dry my hair at all before asking me what I thought. I was honest and let her know I couldn’t really get an idea of what it looked like since it was wet. She then dried it for a minute and asked what I thought. Again, still wet so I didn’t know what it would look like after my curls dried. She put me under the seated dryer with no clips and no product which with curls = flat, frizzy mess. I decided this was an absolute waste of my time and money. They tried to charge me $60 for the cut. I gave them $20 and left. I now have frizzy hair with -at least – the dead ends gone, chunky bangs that look ridiculous, and no shaping at all. Don’t go here. It’s overpriced and not worth it and definitely not a “spa”.

I cannot say enough about Salon 109! They did my hair and nails for when I graduated college back in 2017 and I knew they have to be my go to for my bridal hair and nails. The team is so sweet and professional. The mani/pedi I got 2 days prior to the wedding stayed intact so no chipped nails the day of. The morning of my wedding (June 4th 2022) the stylists came to the venue and did a yeoman’s job, even doing hair for three extra people. They went above and beyond at probably one of the busiest months of the year (graduations, weddings, proms) and were fun and personable when I could imagine how tired they might have been. They made this bride and her bridal party very happy. Couldn’t have asked for better!

Wow! I had a cut & color done by Carrie Strong as well as a CND shellac mani and regular pedi AND she waxed my brows. She is fantastic! I was amazed at her skills and am completely thrilled to have found this salon and to have been assigned Carrie to do all the services. Highly recommend Carrie and this salon! The staff are super friendly and make you feel completely at home. Justin and Ashley, two of the other stylists, are amazing too, as I saw their clients from start to end as I was there a while for all the services I had done! #salon109albany #salon109 #carrieatsalon109

My hair was in a bad state they did a pretty good job. Definitely not the best I ever had. But the price was a joke I paid more then 250 for a cut and some highlights. They did in about an hour and a half. Hairstyling

She always manages to do my hair exactly like I want, and she explains what she is doing so I understand the process. She always exceeds my expectations, and I couldn’t be more pleased. Everyone at the salon is very nice.

I got my hair cut by Dory, she was so kind and she did an amazing job with my hair. I got a simple wash and cut because my hair was dry and damaged at the ends from split ends and the fact that I didn’t cut it in over two years. She didn’t cut too much/little or do her own thing she did exactly what I wanted and it came out wonderful. They were also following all COVID procedures which was good to see.
