This was a last minute appointment and I am so grateful to Safi for coming through. She is very pleasant and down to earth! I told her what I wanted and she delivered!!! I got 6 feed-in cornrows and they are perfect. They’re not bulky and blends in with my natural hair. My chance I found a new braid. Safi you’re stuck with me!

I was very happy with the way they did my hair. Just like I read on one of the previous reviews, Safi took me to the beauty supply store and helped me pick the hair for my braids. I enjoyed watching the African movies, and even though I was the last client she had no problem letting me finish watching the movie that was on. It is a small shop on the second floor with no big sign, but I will definitely come back.

I am very happy that I chose to have my hair done here. I had kinky twists done. I didn’t wait long for her to arrive. I asked Safi not to do them too tight as my hair breaks easily and I was having some regrowth issues on my right side due to breakage. She did as I requested. The twists are medium sized using 2 1/4 pks as i don’t like a mass of kinky twists on my head, and done in 4hrs! My experience at other salons was 5-6hrs.This will be my goto salon from now on. She has a very nice personality. I highly recommend her.

I had my hair braided here approximately a month ago. I have a light textured hair, so braids usually don’t stay well in my hair, but after a month I’ve only had to fix on braid. Usually after 4 weeks of wear and tear it would have been time for me to take them out, but my hair still looks great! I originally brought the wrong hair with me when I went but she walked with me to the hair store and helped me pick out the one I actually needed. The only negative thing I have to say about the experience was the salon wasn’t a very ‘professional’ environment. I will definitely come here again!

I’ve been getting braids for over a year now at other places and i’m not tender headed at all, but i went here recently and my scalp is full of blisters and has been bleeding and i got them done a week ago. Also i was given very small braids after i told her not to do them small because i don’t want to spend 8 hours taking them out but now i have to. Not worth the money at all, way too expensive for the terrible service and communication issues. My braids were done so incorrectly that i wanted to take them out immediately, I also asked for a middle part but she made the part crooked.

Let me say as much as I’d like to keep her my secret, I can’t. Everybody in Plainfield knows either Fatima Sally or Mary.. They are the hair braiding trifecta. Well I was in a pinch on a Saturday with three hours till work and all those said places were busy. Enter Safi. Bruh she had me in and out by 2. You have to bring your own hair and she directed as to which kind to buy(I’m a seasoned hair buyer but took her advice). My braids are flawless, on God I haven’t had a braid slip out yet, I still have my edges, and they arent super tight to the point I have botox! I got. Mid back box braids paid what I would at Fatmas but better quality. Ladies give this woman a shot. You won’t regret it.
