Originally an Aesthetician, Anita is no stranger to the beauty industry. She worked for many years as an aesthetican in Old Town Scottsdale and Fountain Hills. Throughout the years, she has always loved working with hair, and in 2008 attended Penrose Academy to add hair to her repetoire. Grateful for being in a field that is ever-changing and evolving, Anita is dedicated to attending classes regularly. My name is Kristin Longnecker. I was born in Indiana but I consider myself a native to the great state of Arizona, having lived here most of my life. When I was younger I suffered with acne and hyperpigmentation. I began using PCA Skin products and saw such great results that I decided to pursue aesthetics as a career. After graduating from ASU, I became a licensed aesthetician and joined the PCA Skin team as a physician consultant. In my twenty years there, I had the opportunity to share my knowledge of skin throughout the country as Advanced National Educator. I also had the opportunity to work at a dermatology office allowing me to apply my knowledge with clients. Some of the treatments that I specialize in include customized facials, chemical peels, microneedling, Dermaplaning, and laser treatments. Lawrence Scott, LMT is an Arizona native who went to school in Grand Junction, Colorado where he received his Massage Therapy training. Patrick received his cosmetology license in 1981. At the age of 22, he moved to Chicago where he sharpened and perfected his skills for 25 years. Patrick has studied with Bumble and Bumble, Sebastian International, Rusk, and Schwarzkopf just to name a few. Featured as a color specialist, Modern Salon Magazine sought out Patrick and featured his work in three separate issue’s. He has also worked on numerous photo shoots, benefits and fashion shows. “I feel continuing education is a must in this industry. I go to as many classes and hair shows that I can and bring back new trends and technique’s to my staff.” Having been co-owner of two salons in Chicago, he thought it was time to open his own. Teresa has been in the beauty industry for over 30 years. For 15 years she represented Paul Mitchell Hair Products as a Platform Artist & National Educator. Her love for the profession extends far beyond the styling chair. Teresa has organized “Day of Beauty’s” for women in difficult situations, attended several mission trips, and Cut-A-Thon’s for different charities. What clients love most about Teresa is that she listens to them. Teresa says, “Most clients know what they don’t want; I help them make the best choice for their lifestyle and hair texture. I have to say that I received THE worst hair cut ever here. Anita had no clue what she was doing, even by looking at a picture of what I wanted. My home state stylist/colorist had to take significant length off of my hair because the cut I received here was so bad. My stylist could not believe what Anita had done to my hair. It’s really inexcusable. I asked for a modern shag hair cut, to keep my length, and not color my hair with brown in the mix of red. I got NOTHING I asked for. It’s really time for continuing education for Anita. Apparently “Senior stylist” is in name only and not in talent. I did ask for someone else to fix it, but everyone had gone to lunch. I was out in Arizona for Lyme disease treatment. My body didn’t have time to wait. She just kept saying over and over that she didn’t know what I wanted. The picture should have been a big clue to what I wanted. She cut my hair into a bob and blow dried it straight. I asked her why is she blow drying it like that. She said she needed to see the cut. I looked like a 50 year old woman. I gave her a chance to fix it since no one was around, and it looked OK at the salon, so I paid and left. It wasn’t ok though. It was hacked up. My stylist said the back was longer than the sides, and the layers weren’t even, and I should have never been given texture, because my hair can’t handle that cut. I now have to wait for my hair to grow back to shoulder length, where it looks its best.
