Critical: Quality, ValueI’m disappointed to share this but it feels important to give accurate tellings of experiences so new clients can make informed decisions. I made an appointment here for a blowout (wash + blow dry) to have nice hair for professional branding photos I was having done. Unfortunately I was pretty unhappy with the outcome.Even though Dana was very friendly, the skill level did not meet my expectations. My hair was flat, no volume, and she used a lot of hair spray which I was not used to having in stylings I’ve had post haircut at other studios. It left my hair looking greasy and parting oddly. No body, no waves — I have wavy hair naturally.I even called once I got home and inspected it in the mirror, to express my disappointment. I thought someone would call me back or something, but no one did.I was quoted $30 over the phone, despite explaining my hair length but was charged $40 and ended up paying $45 with tip. I guess I should have just gone to the Blo Bar for $50. I was trying to save a buck and it did not work in my favor.I was just so disappointed since I had makeup done and a photographer arranged. Positive: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI needed to get my hair cut and remove the damage from when I had my hair chemically straightened in 2019. Olga did an amazing job! I asked for a haircut that also accentuates my curly hair and she did a super cute cut that brings my curls out.Thank you!Service: Haircut

But, the entire staff is lovely, and well experienced. They have been working together for many years, I came to them back when it was Chaz Salon. Love the location, great space. Roots is my place! I love getting my haircut there. I highly recommend Travis for men’s cuts, he’s an expert. But, the entire staff is lovely, and well experienced. They have been working together for many years, I came to them back when it was Chaz Salon. Love the location, great space. I am so happy we still have places like this in Boulder.

I did a terrible job of explaining what I wanted and did not provide any pictures–she asked all the right questions and somehow gave me exactly what I wanted. Sooo many times I’ve had haircuts and told the stylist that I do NOT spend any time styling my hair, and walked out with something I could never duplicate because it required special products/brushes/flatirons etc. Megan really listened and gave me a true wash-and-wear cut that works with my hair texture. She is quick and efficient and amazing to watch—really an artist. The salon is clean, people disinfecting all the time while I was there. I will be back. Megan is awesome!!! I did a terrible job of explaining what I wanted and did not provide any pictures–she asked all the right questions and somehow gave me exactly what I wanted.
