Basil was so nice and polite. He did great on my hair ( balayage, haircut and blowout) I like the most on how he cut my hair. The only one, I know how to cut hair since I left Philippines. This is not my first visit to Rocksteady, nor is it my first review of this business. Point is, I am extremely happy with my hair when Basil has finished his magic. I started Keratin Treatments a few yrs ago & am thrilled that I found Rocksteady & Basil to keep the service going. Today’s service had the glitch of the power going out to the bldg in the middle of my treatment. Basil was great – he worked on timing to insure I got what I needed. So I ran out expecting to keep myself busy for at least an hour or more, but shortly after I left, Basil texted to let me know the power was back up. I raced back & everything turned out fine! I applaud Basil for his handling of the power outage (Eversource issue), continuing my service (if needed, he offered to meet me on Sunday to start from scratch!), & making my hair look as good as I expected it would! And the fact that he recently moved to Branford? Even closer for me! Thanks!!

Friendly and was nice to be able to watch TV. However the keratin treatment I believe needed more product as I’ve had keratin treatments in the past and they’ve come out really well. The result was ok. I guess you get what you pay for with a discounted price.

I would not recommend this salon to anyone! The space is very unprofessional and so is the owner. I showed up for my appointment but didn’t feel comfortable staying after seeing the space so I left – no one was in the space so I confirmed I left via email. My experience with Basil the owner was also very unprofessional, he charged me a cancelation fee because I didn’t feel comfortable with him working on my hair.
