The haircut itself was satisfactory and cut as asked. However, this rating is based on the experience overall. It is no question that these barbers are skilled in what they do. However, the “we love walk-ins” experience was more of a “walk in to schedule an appointment” for later in the day. Masks are required to enter the premises, but the barbers do not themselves wear masks. If fully vaccinated, (which may be the case), there is no indication for customers to be aware of this (no signs). One barber appeared to be recovering from a cold, (or possible allergies), but clearly had stuffed sinuses and breathing through the mouth. Again, with no mask. A customer finished with their haircut before mine, and there was no visible sign of disinfection procedures taken once the customer left. i.e. the surfaces where the customer sat or touched were not sprayed and wiped down. It’s also possible that disinfection occurs once both customers have left, but this rating is based on what was observed and not on assumptions. Again, no complaint on the haircut itself. The straight-blade razor fade is an essential skill that every barber should have in their arsenal and this was the sole purpose for why I chose this shop during my travels. Apple Pay / Tap to Pay was not supported, but cards and cash both are.

Richie is THE best! He cuts my 6yr old sons hair and now my son will have no one else cut his hair. We have been coming to Richie for about a year now and have been following him throughout his journey. Now that he has his own shop, we could not be more happy for him! Definitely well deserved as he is one of the most easy going, hard working people out there and an excellent barber. Way to go Richie!! We will be seeing you again soon!

At first, I left no written review with 4 stars, and I did so because I was satisfied with the haircut. There was nothing done wrong, just satisfied. The other day he reached to me and asked how he could make my review five stars! I have never, never had someone reach out to me for any review I left inquiring how to make their services better. I was mistaken, because he deserved five stars to begin with. Richie is personable, kind, and cares for his customers. Now, I don’t see myself going to anyone else for a haircut as long as I reside in Walla Walla. I highly recommend this place!

My husband and I were visiting family in Walla Walla over Christmas break. My husband was another millimeter away from being Sasquatch’s sibling. My sister in law mentioned Richies cut & shave but it wasn’t until we drove down town in the wrong direction and I noticed his business. I had my husband turn around and we walked in asking if he would take a walk in appointment. Richie was attentive and very friendly. He really didn’t have a whole lot of time until his scheduled client but he made it happen. He honestly conversed with us about the short amount of time he had and also asked all the right questions to determine what my husband desperately needed done. Basically…. his shop was squeaky clean, comfortable and willingly took my husband in as a walk in without hesitation. In that time he professionally banged out a rad haircut and trim. The only downfall….he is 5 hours away from us. Definitely will be making an appointment every time we visit. ✌

We went to Richie’s this morning with the groomsmen for my niece’s wedding later in the day. They closed the shop for 2 hours to accommodate all of us with cuts and shaves. It was fun for everyone and great to see the transformation of the young men. High quality cuts, straight razor shaves, hot towels and an awesome shop. Walla Walla is lucky to have a place like this! It put the grooming back on the groomsmen. And yes, even the bridesmen got groomed.
