I was surprised when I came in and did not see Mary (at Morphd) from my first micro blading removal. But Kayla (who is with Removery that replaced Morphd) was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. She has 8 years of experience in laser removal and is getting her own micro blading lasered just as I am. I wasn’t aware about a few of the things she’d told me and am glad to know. For example, not to use self tanner for 2 weeks following the procedure (as well as before!). She also told me that I shouldn’t wear makeup on the area for 72 hours, which caught me off guard because I work at a beauty store we it’s customers who look to me for cosmetic advice the following days and can’t go in looking crazy. Mary had told me I could wear makeup the following day. Had I known I would have adjusted my work schedule. Kayla also did the laser very quickly instead of one zap at a time. This got the pain over with quickly instead of dragging it on. When I asked Mary if people tipped for the service she said most do so I tipped $30. When I asked Kayla she said no (it’s not a tipping service). Looking online after my first removal I had learned that tipping for such a service is not the norm nor should be expected. So overall, while Mary was extremely kind and I appreciate her overall, I’m glad that Morphd was bought by Removery because it seems as though they are more professional and have more experience. It’s unfortunate that they’re raising the price of the service from 199$ to 249$ in mid November. This 15 minute visit is already extremely expensive, especially when it requires so many sessions. Such is life I suppose.
