I had the best experience ever in Regis today. I had stepped in for a haircut, the hairdresser Amanda was very talented enough to provide a fantastic haircut that I am feeling so good to flaunt around. She is a wonderful person to talk too. I really admire the way she took so much time in cutting and styling my hair. The best hairstylist I have ever met. Thank you Amanda!!! And I am going to make sure I visit regularly.

Not happy with my experience at this place. First time customer. I had Chuck cut my hair. I am a white male with long hair. I sat down with Chuck (Seemed like a nice guy), and began telling him how I wanted my hair cut. Short on the sides, a little length on the top that I push back with my hand after a shower. Usually, I get a line cut on the one side to separate the short hair from the long hair. I also have issues with my bangs, where if they are not layered correctly, it looks stupid and feels uncomfortable. I made Chuck aware of these things, and his response was “Don’t worry, I’ve been doing hair for 31 years”. He takes some clippers and begins to dig them into the side of my head. My first thought was, this guy hasn’t been doing hair for 31 years. After he cut the sides, he washed my hair. I went and sat back down as he started to trim the top. Within 5 minutes, He pulls the cape off my me and has my glasses in his hand. He then says “Alright you’re done” and hands me my glasses. This was shocking to me. He didn’t ask me to look at the haircut first or anything! He took maybe a half inch off the top. I asked him to please take off more. At this point, I feel like I’ve been duped. This guy doesn’t know how to style hair, nor does he really care what the customer thinks of his work. I’m awkward in these situations, so I pay (and even leave a $5 tip. Why? I have no idea). I was told the haircut would be $32 over the phone when I made my appointment, but the final price before tip was $34. Not a huge difference, but it’s still false information. I walked out, not happy and feeling stupid. After getting an iced tea from Starbucks, I see Chuck walking up toward the food court. I took this opportunity to voice my opinion to the manager. She kindly asked if I’d like to stick around and she would personally take care of me after her current customer. Like I said before, I do not know how to not feel awkward in a situation like this. I kindly said no thanks and expressed this to her. I plan on just shaving all my hair off and getting a shape up. Not only did he disregard everything I told him about the haircut I would like, he “finished” the job without even getting approval from the customer. The extra star is for the manager that was kind enough to offer a solution. I will not be returning to this salon in the future, and I suggest, if you are a man with long hair, you do the same.

Frank cut my daughter’s hair first and I was so impressed I decided to have mine cut by him as well. It’s honestly the best hair cut I’ve had in a very, very long time. I’ve always had very long hair (to the middle of my back) and so having an above the shoulders cut was a little scary, but he made it so nice that I don’t think I’ll go back to long hair. Well worth the price. (He’s also really fun to talk to! From physics to philosophy we chatted about it all.)

I visited Regis at QB mall 2 years back but was not satisfied with my haircut. I have short wavy hair and it becomes messy as it grows long hence I need frequent hair cuts/ trimming. I tried quite a few local hair salons and spent $$ but was never 100% happy with the cut/styling I got for the bucks I paid. I thought I should give another try at Regis since I heard there has been a change in management and staff. I went there a couple of weeks back and had Chuck cut my hair. He is amazing!!! So patient and calm, very well experienced and paid attention to detail. I highly recommend Chuck and will go back to him in future. Thank you, Chuck!
