Ms. Hicks was very professional and the nail tech was sweet and gentle. This was the first time I ever came here. I recently moved to Austin, TX from Houston but couldn’t find an affordable black hair salon. The few black salons in Austin are overpriced. I researched salons in Temple, TX because I wasn’t willing to drive 2.5 hrs to Houston to get my hair done. I came across R&B Hair Salon and decided to give them a try because their website was very professional, well organized and easy to use. As I entered the salon, it was just as clean and organized as their web site. I made an appointment with Shaenequa Hicks for feed in braids. She was very professional and did a really great job with my hair. I’ll be using her services again in the near future.

This Salon seems to be a bit overpriced for the services rendered. My son’s braids were nice but…uneven my daughter’s silk press was nice as well but still puffy at the roots. She wasn’t satisfied, I had to redo her hair when we got home. My mother’s hair could have been better. I was also charged for services for my mother that she did not receive. Between all three I spent about $200 or $215 on homemade hairstyles. I chose a black-owned beauty salon because I wanted to sew into my brown skin community and this is the love that we receive

Got braids done on August 26,2022 this how they looked when I got home called told them I didn’t like them since I said I like them from chair while looking at mirror that a couple ft away they couldn’t do nothing for me got recommend by barber rob that used to cut my hair I will never go back

I have been to this salon three times, every time has been different, the first time Kendra relaxed my hair and blew dried it I was satisfied, and the price was reasonable. The second time it was for protein treatment and deep conditioning for my daughter, the aid ( temperature checking girl) did my hair, it was okay but the price went up, this last time was the worst, the new girl did not even know how to wash hair, she was trained on my head by a stylist, she rinsed off the conditioner with warm water, dried my hair without a spray no brush to silk the hair down, no body seemed to care, and the owner was in the chair next to me. the worst part was the bill I received for the poor service. There is no fair treatment of clients.
