I wasn’t going to elaborate but the passive aggression of the owner’s response about “can you tell us why you gave our small, locally owned salon a one star review?” is one of the reasons for the rating. On the outside, this place is definitely boujie and stylish, so I thought their stylists must know what they’re doing. In reality, it just translates to high prices and condescending behavior. I used to get my hair done at this salon, and this was probably one of the worst things that I did for my hair.

I will never go anyone other than Samantha Romero at R Collective to cut and color my hair. Each time I go to her, I think it can’t get any better than the last time but then she out does her self again. She completely transforms my hair and goes above and beyond to explore the details that make each look truly unique. She takes her time and makes sure that she is using the right “everything” to make you love your look, even if you didn’t know exactly what you wanted. She is very creative and nifty when it comes to both cut and color. Give her a direction and she will blow your mind! R Collective is a very clean salon with a warm and welcoming staff. They offer water, tea, wine, and other beverages to make you feel right at home. I highly recommend you head over to this happening salon and see what it’s all about. I wanted to update my review because I have been going to this salon now for over 3 years. I will say that they are the BEST salon out there. Yes, they are a bit more pricey than other salons. But my thought process is that you’re investing in YOURSELF and that is something you can’t put a price on. Samantha Romero does my hair and it’s always BEAUTIFUL. I was never happy with how my hair turned out at previous salons and Samantha hits the nail right on the head every SINGLE time. I have also seen a few other stylists there on occasion and they are also AMAZING. My hair is healthier than it has ever been. Everyone there is knowledgeable and constantly working to improve their craft. Scott is also so welcoming every time I come in and will greet me with a hug! You also get points for each visit, referral, pre-booking, purchase of products that you are able to cash in for free product. I love this salon and encourage everyone to come visit and see what their stylists are capable of. You will NOT be disappointed.

Scott was PHENOMENAL my hair looks better than it has in a long time and I just had such a fun time. The staff were super friendly and the salon itself is very welcoming and beautiful. I have VERY thick hair that had been sorely neglected, to the point I was almost embarrassed to go in, but immediately Scott and Tommy, who was assisting him, made me feel welcome and comfortable. He did an amazing, short very “piecey” textured pixie that has great movement and shape. Best compliment I can give is when my daughter saw me she said, “wow mom you look like a rock queen” 100% recommend and will absolutely be back.
