I had my hair done here this morning and once I was about to go to bed I noticed that a majority of the back of my head was unfinished. I had an appointment for braids that braid down about to half of your head and then let out as curly waves. Not sure what the actual style is called. I scheduled an 8am appointment so that I would be done at a good time today. I noticed one of the ladies doing my hair was pretty tired but I am too we all had to wake up early. During the appointment her demeanor seemed as if she was annoyed and she let out multiple sighs as she looked at me in the mirror. I noticed which parts of my head she was working on (the back) and to come home and see that they were half braided with my natural hair sticking out the bottom of them (not like the ones that the other lady did that was working on the front of my head.) made me very upset. I now have to fix the braids myself. I usually come here to get my braids done and and usually they are super reliable when Isha is present in the studio at the same time. But this time was upsetting to say the least.

I contacted Queen Isha the night that I flew into town after hours, requested an appointment for medium box braids and She contacted me the following morning and said she could get me in at 9 am. I was there exactly at 9 am. I was walking out the door at 12 noon. They were quick. The length and the size of the braids were amazing for the price. I paid via the cash app. It was a wonderful experience. I recommend Queen Isha and will go again.

I have been going to Queen Isha for several years off and on. They have definitely evolved over the years. I have moved to Arizona now, but when I go back and visit my family I will visit again. The best part is no matter when I get to town I’m able to get an appointment either away and they are super quick.

I thought I had found a great spot but after frequent visits I noticed the braiders became more rude. I get dimple cornrow buns so I guess that wasn’t expensive enough. Then it was sloppily done. The owner at first seemed to me that she took pride in her business but it didn’t seem to last. I was quoted a price at one braiding even the lady finished she said you need to give me 100 because your hair looks good. I said no I’m paying what I was quoted. I’ve witnessed disagreements between braiders. Realizing things happen I tried to continue to patronize until they started doing a sloppy job with attitude.

I did not have a good experience here at all. The price of the services were never discussed with me before and once I got there I was charged almost $300 for box braids that were all different sizes with sloppy parts that don’t even closely resemble boxes. The only good thing is how fast they work, but if the braids don’t look look professionally done there’s no point. When leaving I learned that the braider tried to overcharge me $40 for my hair, I was so disappointed after hearing so many good things about this place.
