PROSE is a great salon for all your nail needs! I’ve been getting manicures and pedicures pretty regularly here for the past year or so. From my first visit, Clare and the rest of the team have been so welcoming and warm. The salon is so incredibly clean and the amenities are spa-like. I especially appreciate their commitment to cleanliness and safety. I also appteciate the value of their monthly membership and the ability to leave gratuity on my credit card! I always feel relaxed when I come in! I also hosted a little nail party for my bridal party ahead of our wedding (October 2021) and Clare was so helpful in booking all the appointments and making sure everyone felt special, including the little kiddos! They allowed us to bring in champagne and sparking apple cider too! Everyone had such a great time getting pampered for the big day (see photo )

Don’t be surprised by extra charges and bad customer service, like I did. I visited this salon for the first time on Friday. The appointment was scheduled on the phone ,and I was told that the dip powder will cost me $75.00. It is much higher than any other salons charged me in Livingston surroundings, however I decide to give them a chance. To my surprise they put your hands in the plastic bag with acetone, and then put your hands in some heating pads???? My whole hand was burning. I told the nail technician( Angelica) about it. She said this is the way this salon does the dip powder removal, she also told me that if I come back she will do the removal like any other salon does.

It was my first time going to Prose and I was pleasantly surprised on all fronts. The place is tidy and sparkling clean…the decor is minimalistic, unlike other salons that are very cluttered. I had a mani/pedi by Angelica and both were really….classy. That’s the best word I can think of. I didnt feel rushed and I was able to fully relax. So much so that I fell asleep during my pedicure! The whole time I was there the owner was tidying up, cleaning, disinfecting, etc., which was nice to see. All in all, a very well-run business with top notch employees. It’s a bit more expensive than other salons but I didn’t mind because I felt the experience was worth it.

I was fortunate enough to win a gift certificate at a charity event that was generously donated by Prose. It was my first visit to the salon and I am sold! I had an excellent manicure and pedicure with Nairobi! The service was great, the salon was clean and the staff welcoming. One of the best things was that it didn’t smell like the typical nail salon since the products are clean. I booked my next appointment already and am looking forward it already. Highly recommend!

I did research to find a place that’s clean, current and with a unique vibe in effort to find a good replacement of my old favorite NY nail salon. Prose is the place and worth the 20 minute drive. 55$ for a gel mani is a joke..when the service sucks, how you charge 55$ when you don’t have a great selection of colors and barley enough polish and top coat ..for 55$ I’m expecting an hour, not being rushed (guess it was time for the tech to go home)and hot towels after the service..my gel is caked up on my nails, not hot towels, barley 35min mani..I had high hopes for this place.never again.. I’ll stick with my place in Morris Plains..
