I drove an hour from Huntsville to stop by and I am SO happy that I did! Her studio is in a very safe area of the Woodlands, nice and quiet and surrounded by other amazing small businesses. Walking into her studio, it smells SO good, and she locked the door behind us so that we could be extra safe. Her studio is BEAUTIFUL! Lots of pink (both our favorite colors) and sparkly! The music was great and again, it smelled AMAZING! The actual waxing bench was so comfortable, not stiff as a board like others, and bigger person friendly. She was very sweet, kind, and funny right off the bat. I didn’t feel uncomfortable at ALL!She first cleaned my skin around my eyebrows, and then mapped them out using rulers and straightedges so they would be as symmetrical as possible. What’s so amazing about Tye is that she really values relationships and cleanliness. She NEVER double dipped, and used disposable tools for every aspect of the visit. That is so important as double dipping and reusable tools can lead to infections, diseases and other nasty stuff! She talked through the whole process, and actually used a combination of soft wax and hard wax, which I greatly appreciated since I am on acne medicine and sometimes my skin can be a little thin and easier to pull off. The wax was perfect temperature, and she checked multiple times through the appointment that it was not too hot, and that I wasn’t getting hurt. She also lets you decide on whether you want your brows filled or not, in which I opted for not because I went straight home and took a nap!Tye is so personable and we chatted the whole time about so many different things. It wasn’t awkward, and I felt like I really got to know her as a businesswoman and just as another Black woman. She is so inspiring as well! Doing her rewards program also allowed me to have $5 off of my service, so make sure you visit her website and sign up! Overall, this was such an amazing experience and I DEFINITELY and without a doubt recommend anyone to visit Prisma Wax & Beauty for any waxing or facial needs. I got my eyebrows waxed by Tye on 01/11/2022, and it was AMAZING! I drove an hour from Huntsville to stop by and I am SO happy that I did! It’s been almost 2 weeks and I’m still getting compliments. I haven’t had to wear any tinted moisturizer or foundation but when I do it’s flawless. First of all, Prisma is so cute and comfortable! Tye is the sweetest spirit, welcoming, warm, and bubbly. The facial literally left my skin glowing. It’s been almost 2 weeks and I’m still getting compliments. I haven’t had to wear any tinted moisturizer or foundation but when I do it’s flawless. Will def be back and of course would recommend!
