I got braids done not even two days old. I have loose braids, braids fallen out. The ends of the hair have knots like the hair was old hair. Usually when i get braids i could put the hair in a nice ponytail an i cant even do that.

I went to plush for a beard trim and a facial. Jill was very warm and welcoming and the atmosphere was also very nice. I felt very comfortable with all my service and she was also very professional about the was she did things. Everything was very organized and clean and the receptionist was also very nice. She had me in and out in a timely manner and on time for my interview. There was another cosmetologist there I think named Nikki doing a girls hair. Looked very nice and she was working pretty quick. I would highly recommend plush and definitely ask for Jill. she is who I had and will definitely be returning back again!!!

Two weeks ago, I left Plush studio feeling amazing, and left a glowing 5 star review of my faux locs on StyleSeat. After only two weeks, the locs had already started to come out/unravel, despite me taking care of them well (see pics below – picture in red coat is one or two days post install, all others are 13 days after install). I reached out to the stylist to ask for her help in fixing the locs that had unraveled/come out, only to be told that after 3 days of the hair being installed, there is a $50 maintenance fee. I can understand charging a maintenance fee months later for a touch up. I also understand the fact that she makes her living off this work. But to ask for a fee after a mere two weeks displays a lack of care with regards to clientele getting these types of styles. This isn’t a hair cut or a dye job that I waited two weeks to return after deciding I didn’t like it – this is the hair literally detaching itself, when such a thing should not be happening in such a short period of time. Additionally, while I have grown to expect some small amount of itching from getting braids or faux locs, the amount of scalp itching I experienced here was enough to literally keep me from sleeping. I have had braids and faux locs before, and this was more of a reaction than I have ever had before. To sum up, while the initial product looked beautiful, the amount of time it stayed that way, in addition to the request for more payment for a service that should not even have to be done, will keep me from ever returning, or suggesting Plush to another person.
