I went to Liv for a major change from my naturally dark brown hair (which was mid-back length) to lavender and I’ve gone to her ever since. The first time I came in, we talked about the look I wanted and she took the time to create the perfect lavender. I had been told by a few other stylists previously that dying my hair that light wouldn’t be possible or that it would take multiple sessions over a few months. Liv was able to do it in one session! Considering she had to bleach it completely to white first, she made sure my hair stayed strong and healthy throughout the entire process. My hair came out BEYOND what I imaged. I absolutely loved it and felt amazing. Liv and the entire Pinup Jordan’s Mermaid Lounge KNOWS HAIR. I recommend anyone wanting to dye their hair vivid or pastel colors to go there-they know how to do it right!

Marissa has done my hair twice now and I couldn’t imagine going to anyone else again in my life. I’ve been dying my hair for 17 years and she exceeds my expectations every time. The salon is a gorgeous, open space and all of the hair artists are so kind, welcoming, and wonderful. Their attitudes are always on point and whether I want to chat, chill, or gossip- they make me feel like a part of the family. I live across the country and I will continue to fly back twice a year for Marissa’s talent. I haven’t had my hair done in 5 months and I STILL get compliments on the color! Anyway, book your next color at this place. You won’t regret it. PS – they like donuts 😉

I’ve been going to Marissa for 3 years, and I will never go anywhere else ever again. My hair is healthier and more vibrant than it’s ever been before. It’s nice to be able to walk in and say I trust you to do whatever you want to my head, and know I’ll leave happy with whatever we end up with. Plus I’ve never felt so welcome and accepted anywhere else, every single stylist has made me feel like family from the very beginning. Everyone is so supportive and open to teaching/learning from each other. There really is no environment like it. I can’t begin to tell explain how much I love this salon. I’d been following some of the stylists on Instagram for a little while before I finally had the time to make an appointment with Marissa. She is an absolute gem and I will 100% be going back in the future. My rainbow hair looks incredible. I went to Jordan because I no longer wanted the option to work in the field that I was working in. My solution? Dye my hair crazy colors and they wouldn’t hire me. I didn’t know I’d be making lifelong family and becoming who I needed to be. I have never felt more like myself than after I dyed my hair. I felt so free, and I felt like I had to come into my own. Jordan, and all of the lounge, make you feel like the best version of yourself. They hype they provide and the support, not only in beauty but in life, is invaluable. I couldn’t recommend the entire team at the Mermaid Lounge more. I love them all.

She is passionate about hair and you can tell by her detailed consultations and patience to get your hair where you want it the right way. Marissa is an absolute gem but you really can’t go wrong with anyone in the studio! It’s such a warm and welcoming place and the hairstylists are top tier at what they do. Not all stylists can do vivid color and I’ve had so many people tell me about their disappointing experiences when going to other salons. Everyone at Pinup Jordan’s has the experience but more importantly the education on how to do vivid color and it shows. I’m forever grateful for Marissa and the hair journey she started me on. I’m never going anywhere else!
