Love this place. So welcoming. My only issue was I couldn’t put a pause on my membership so I have been paying about 10$ a month for a year now to hold my spot so I don’t lose my membership. I’d love to go back and start tanning again but my work hours overlap their business hours. With all that said I would definitely recommend to anyone that has a more open schedule. They truly are so kind and helpful.

I have experienced unpleasant high pressure sales at this location. When I opened a membership in March my daughter was with me, who had worked in a tanning salon previously. Kara opened my membership and was very pushy trying to sell a pricier package and a $78 bottle of tanning lotion. I has happy my daughter was with me to steer me to what I needed. I did have good tanning experience but after our Hawaii vacation I personally went in to cancel my membership late in June. Kara waited on me and again was pushy, stating cancellations affected their numbers and tried her best to get me to put my membership on hold. I said “NO” I wanted to cancel. So I TRUSTED that she followed through. Today, 2 months later, I noticed a couple charges on my bank account for Palm Beach Tan. In researching my bank statements I found that these charges had continued. Confused, I went to the Palm Beach Tan on Georgia today and there was Kara, saying she had no paper’s stating i cancelled. SHE WAS THE ONE THAT HELPED ME THE DAY I CANCELLED! How could that be? I remember that day specifically because there were customers in the lobby and I was embarrassed because Kara was being so pushy about cancelling. I have never experienced this kind of rude customer service before. I told her I wanted to talk to the Owner and she said “He doesn’t handle this”. I told her I wanted to talk to Customer Service and she said “Go ahead, you’ll just end up talking to me again.” BEWARE if you cancel be sure to get a PRINTED COPY of your cancellation before you leave and don’t rely on the EMAIL that they say they send out confirming your cancellation!!

Would not recommend. If you want to cancel your account GOOD LUCK. They will keep pulling money out of your account…the manager will hang up on you when you call trying to cancel your membership. They are absolutely RUDE there to begin with. Will never be going back.

Been going here for a couple of years and have yet to have a bad experience but tonight was an above and beyond experience. Not that I haven’t had them before, but I haven’t done a review yet and it’s long overdue. The employees here have always made me feel welcome and like I’m an important customer – even when they were busy. Tonight they weren’t very busy, but there was a minor issue with my bed. I alerted the two ladies on shift – one whose name I didn’t catch and Kiara (I probably spelled that wrong and I’m very sorry if you read this). They came and fixed my issue immediately, and well beyond expectations. They apologized profusely and even upgraded me, which was unexpected and quite nice! This salon is by and far my favorite for the standards they set and maintain for cleanliness, friendliness, and professionalism.

Palm Beach tans on South Georgia street in Amarillo Texas is my absolute favorite location to go. The staff is so amazing and goes above and beyond to make sure all of there guests have an amazing experience. I work at Cheddar’s where we strive to take care of guests as well so this kind of experience really means a lot to me. The manager Britney is so friendly and so helpful and you can tell that she takes the time to train all of the staff to make sure they exemplify these traits as well. The salon is always clean, and even during rush and peak hours the staff maintains level-headedness and gets everyone taken care of in a timely fashion. Way to go Palm Beach Tan we love you guys!!!

A few years ago, I came in requesting an application for employment, only to be told “we only hire women”. I let it go, though I should have reported it. I came in today and got a very nice manager who welcomed me to submit a copy of my resume. Very nice save. I hope there service is as welcome as that. Who knows? I decided to get a base tan going since I always get that painful ‘first burn’ no matter how much 50 SPF I cover myself in. Michael and the staff were very welcoming and took the time to explain all of the beds and how they work. It has been over 10 years since I have been in a tanning salon and things are very different, in a good way. What a great experience! I recommend this location hands down!
