This is my $230 (including tip) roots touch up and request to brighten up ONE highlight, after a week. The charges DIDN’T include a haircut or trim, but did include a $50 “custom blow- out” that wasnt discussed or agreed to beforehand and that I would have never paid for (I have short hair!).

Years ago I walked into a salon crying because a different local salon had given me their version of a “balayage” that was basically chunky highlights on the bottom half of my hair. When I first met Julie, she promised me she would fix it and I left not only “fixed” but my hair was more beautiful than I could have imagined! The whole team at Olive and Jules is wonderful. I’ve been going to Julie for years and can only describe her color techniques as art. Bobby cuts my sons hair and makes him feel comfortable and somehow gives him a great cut even with him squirming in the chair! Above their wonderful professional abilities, you always feel welcomed and relaxed in Olive and Jules. I would ONLY trust the team at Olive and Jules with anything and everything hair for myself and my little one. The quality and talent is unmatched in the area.

Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityI arrived about 10 mins early as a new client. It wasn’t a big deal that I had to wait until my 6:00 appointment. As I observed, the salon wasn’t clean, it smelled like a dog and the staff was extreme slow. At 6:10 an older woman approached me and stated my stylist, Jessica, would be right with me. At 6:20 another employee who appeared to be an assistant approached the woman and told her I had been waiting. The older woman stated “Oh well she will have to wait” I ended up walking out. I had been to Jessica a couple of times and was fairly satisfied with her work when I went back for a third appointment. I walked out without my hair being touched after waiting 30 minutes beyond my appointment time and a snappy response to my asking if someone else could take me because I had other commitments. No apology for being so late. Just a haughty response. I decided that it would not be smart to have someone with that attitude do my hair. Sadly I will be looking for another salon where appointments and courtesy mean something.
