Went to get my nails done here. Apparently, it’s been quite some time since I’ve gotten my nails done, because what I thought I wanted was something totally different than what I asked for! No problem, though. Hieu (Hugh) was GREAT and explained EVERYTHING he was doing and how products have changed over time and showed me exactly what I wanted! I came in with some cute press-on style nails, and liked how they looked-I just wanted them to be more permanent. Hieu told me the difference between regular acrylic nails, gel nails, shellac nails, and “powder-dip” nails. I had no idea there were so many types! I went with the powder-dip type, and Hieu managed to make them look EXACTLY like the press-on ones I had!

This is my favorite nail salon in Hampton Roads. Before coming here I was never the type to get my nails done routinely, but they ALL do such a great job it’s worth my time and money to come here every two weeks. I get gel manicure and they never chip, only reason I go back is because my nails are growing which of course creates that “fill gap”. All of the nail techs take their time and do everything they can to make sure each and every nail is perfect. The atmosphere is also welcoming and friendly. I even appreciated the attention to detail when I got my eyebrows waxed! You will not be disappointed if you come here for any service by any nail tech.

Easy to find. Had to wait 10-15 minutes as the place was busy! The smell hit me and my eyes watered & I couldn’t breathe so I put my mask on. I was better in 15 minutes. The pedicure was great. I have neuropathy but we talked and no pain. Made an appointment for 4 weeks. Four stars because it was so hot in there but today was a very hot day!

I never give reviews, but I tried this place for the first time today and was so pleased I had to. My daughter and I were both seated at our appointment time. A gentleman in there gave me the best pedicure I have ever had! My daughter got a beautiful manicure with gel polish. The color selection was plentiful. No exaggeration they were awesome! They do great work and value customer service. I will definitely be returning to Nails by Tom.

This is by far the best nail salon I’ve been to. Customer service is great. Their services are the best. My pedicure looks great and lasts long. They take their time and do a wonderful job. I recommend making an appointment because they are a busy place for a good reason!
