Nails and Spa of MN is a great, boutique-style nail salon that operates primarily on an appointments-only basis, as they have a small team. They do fast, thorough, and professional work, offer a clean and peaceful environment with pleasant pop music playing in the background, and are friendly and personable. Their rates are also competitive and in the neighborhood of what I’m accustomed to, yet they fortunately don’t do a-la-carte pricing (charging for each and every little thing, as many nail salons have the tendency to do these days). Their location is very convenient and central, and I So love the online self-booking option, wherein I can self-schedule my appointments with whichever team member I’d prefer. They get my stamp of approval!

I have been here about 5 times and they do a great job every time no matter who is doing my nails. They are very professional and kind people. I came in wanting this design and the girl doing my nails wasn’t sure if she could do it. And she ended up doing amazing, will come back again and again

I went in for a gel manicure, the man who did my manicure accidentally cut my hang nail and it was bleeding pretty bad. No big deal – that happens sometimes. He proceeded to clean it with the tools in his box, and a brush he got from the drawer. When he was done using the tools, he put the brush back in a holder on top of the table after my blood was on it. The other tools, he put back in the box labeled “clean” and stuck it back in the drawer. None of the tools were sanitized. I said something when I was paying, and the guy just said he would talk to him about it. I explained I would be very upset if I got an infection from unsanitary tools, and it’s unsanitary if they use them on another customer without cleaning them. He didn’t apologized, or show me that they would get cleaned. On top of that two of my nails chipped in less than two days. Will not go back.
