Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueTried booking appt online but no one called me back so I called in. She had very broken English and talked over me a lot. That should have sent me running but I was looking forward to fixing myself up after being down due to surgery. I’m not from the area and had a follow-up Dr. appt so I did a search for a nearby nail salon with good reviews. I really don’t understand what the fuss is about this place because my experience was horrible. The first moment I walked in the lady sitting there doing a pedicure comments on how skinny I am. Then laughs after her unwanted comment. All of them speak very broken English so good luck trying to explain what you would like or obeying their orders. They use a lot of hand gestures and mumble so if you’re new to the mani/pedi scene good luck or don’t go here! The guy they assigned me to was not friendly at all and barely spoke English. I tried cracking a joke to lighten his day but no response. Maybe he didn’t understand what I was saying. He would just use hand gestures to communicate and he would push and pull my feet as if he was super frustrated for some reason. It made me very uncomfortable. Oh, and the two girls next to me were offered a beverage, I was not. AND the guy doing my pedicure got up and got the drinks for them! ????So then I just tried to relax and shrug it off. However, he started scrubbing the devil out of my legs with his exfoliating scrub. I wanted to slap him! Seriously the lack of professionalism in this place is why I’m taking the time to write this review.So moving on to my manicure. He couldn’t understand what I was trying to communicate and I couldn’t understand him. I showed a photo on Pinterest without much response from him so I figured he knew what he was doing. Then he plops a big bowl of fingernails in front of me with all different colors. Then forces my one hand into a bowl of soaking agent. OK sir, what am I supposed to do with only one hand and bowl of different colored fingernails?? He finishes soaking my fingers and then tries speaking to me again. I really could not understand a word he was saying. I just ignore him as we was doing the same to me whenever I would speak. So then another woman steps in and finishes the job. She also wasn’t very friendly but we finally managed to finish. My manicure was very messy and nonprofessional. Ugg, what a let down.I really felt so uncomfortable at this place. It was as if they didn’t want me there and were put-off. I wasn’t a walk-in and I wasn’t demanding or unkind at all. Very bizarre behavior for a business that had good reviews online. Positive: Professionalism, QualityI don’t usually leave reviews but a felt like this salon needed one. This is the 2nd time I have been here and this time was just as good as the last time. I am a nurse and have some serious calluses. They always take the time to make sure my feet leave feeling so soft and pretty. Thank you!!!!Service: Pedicure
