Jennifer has taken care of my hair for 13 years. I moved from Jersey to Maryland 4 years ago. And 2.5 hrs drive. After 3 years of searching in MD I could not find person to do hair. Recently I came back every 6 weeks. She as well as most staff are worth the drive. Prices are so reasonable.

So I’ve only been to Nadine Janet three times because of having gift certificates. Once years ago for a full set of highlights that had to be redone because the stylist left the toner on for too long, so I left with extremely damaged hair. I understand mistakes happen but the stylist was also very rude about it and I was very young at the time so I was afraid to speak up plus I didn’t know better to say that I would come back to get it redone in a couple weeks but the stylist should have!! So my recent visits were to get my nails done. I like them long and pointed and the first refill the nail tech did a great job but within two weeks a nail completely snapped off. I know that happens sometimes but I would expect a $45 refill to hold up a little better. However, when I went back for another refill the same nail tech made me bleed numerous times, clearly because she just wasn’t paying enough attention to what she was doing. These weren’t just tiny scratches, there were at least a couple decent cuts, and one continued to bleed throughout the entire process and she was not even trying to avoid hurting it. She also didn’t ask me about the shape and at that point I was too on edge to even say anything because I just wanted to get out of there asap. I was happy though because at least I had nice fresh nails, but then about 3 days later a nail snapped off. I guess some people are used to paying $45 for a refill but I’ve never gone anywhere that expensive so I’m just appalled by the fact that the quality and service I’ve received at this salon doesn’t match the prices at all. And to be clear, I would have gone back to make them fix it if I could’ve but I live in Philly without a car.

The staff and atmosphere are lovely and 5 stars all around. But let me tell you, Rebecca is a freaking star herself. I just moved to the area after living in Los Angeles for 4 years and I NEVER found a stylist as intuitive and talented (and super fun) as Rebecca. She brought life back into my hair and really saw beyond the sample photos I brought her and gave me something unique to me. I can’t express how happy I am. Rebecca is my go-to from now on and I would recommend her to anyone!

Marla is my absolute favorite for eyebrow shaping. I’ve been going to her for over two years and she consistently delivers a wonderful, natural shape with gentle wax that is always the perfect temperature. I leave the salon looking nice, no obvious red marks on my skin like I’ve had from other waxing experiences. I’ve recommended Marla to many of my friends and family! Salon is clean, staff are friendly and often go out of their way to help accommodate.
