I can’t speak more highly of Mr. Hair’s Barbershop. I’ve been on island for 15 years and Chris is hands down the best barber in Hawaii. He’s professional, meticulous in his art, and an outstanding person. His skill is second to none. Great with kids, Chris’s gentle touch with the clippers and kind engagement always puts my son at ease and makes haircuts an event he looks forward to. Highly recommend…this is where ya need to go.

I don’t write reviews but I absolutely had to for this. I waited about 2-3 hours for a haircut. I didn’t have an appointment and everyone showed up for their appointment, which is fine I understand people had appointments. But the barber I got was rushing and cut me at least 3 times. The fade isn’t all that great but it’s average. However. I asked for about half an inch off the top and ended up with about half an inch left. I had long hair on top, atleast 2 inches and after that first cut there was no going back. But this barber left the hair in the back about 1.5 inches in length and the front is about half an inch. The front right side half of my head in the very front is literally about 1/4 inch and the front left side is about 3/4 inch it’s so uneven and absolutely terrible. I have no issue paying for a $50 above average hair cut but this was definitely way worse than any haircut I could’ve gotten on post at the PX. Never again and I don’t recommend coming here atleast if you don’t have an appointment as the barber rushes through way too quickly.

I’ve been here for a month and immediately found this barbershop through a friend. I use the Booksy app to schedule my appointment with my barber Christopher, he’s always ready when I arrive. He pays attention to detail and ensures you’re satisfied with his work prior to saying he’s done with your cut. Reasonable prices, great communication during your cut.

I’m new to the island and finding a barber is always tricky. Found this place and read the reviews and the only bad thing I saw were people butt hurt about not having an appointment. So I made an appointment and I’ll have to say this is the BEST hair cut and beard trim I’ve had in years. Easy five star rating all day.

This place is an appointment priority place and walk in’s are handled if time allows (meaning if an appointment doesn’t show up). Unless you are aware of the appointment policy and make an appointment don’t waste your time. Our previous walk in haircut was great but no one told us the appointment policy. We showed up a 2nd time and were told they were appointment booked for the day and have no availability for walk ins. I understand allowing appointments and giving them priorities but telling customers there is no availability for walk ins and not posting anywhere in your business or website of this policy is poor business etiquette.

I called the shop to make an appointment and came in to see Cas. We arrived a little early, luckily there were games in the waiting area and a movie was playing, which kept my son occupied till it was his turn. I showed Cas a picture of the cut my son wanted, and the outcome was awesome. My son was very happy with his haircut. We’ve already scheduled an appointment to come back! Thanks again Cas!
