The only reason I am not getting my haircut by Tom these days is because I now live in Massachusetts. If I still lived within 1 hour of Mr. G’s I would be sitting in his styling chair. Tom started cutting my hair when I was just 14 years old and now I am retired. My stylist and still my friend.

Was in the area performing at the Caroga Lake Music Festival and stopped by to get my mop cleaned up before our upcoming concerts. I was hoping to walk in but in order to give each client the time and attention they need, Tom is appointment only, which was ok because I was able to set a time for an hour later and run some errands. The haircut and conversation were wonderful. Best trim I’ve had in a long time. He vacuumed and rinsed out the hairs from me which was much appreciated, and I left feeling super confident and received many compliments from my colleagues. I hope to see Mr. G at concerts by the lake in future summers!

Amazing shop and gem of an owner who’s a 2nd generation barber who takes pride in what he does & gave us a fascinating history of his family (the shop as of this writing is going to be 96 yrs old!), Gloversville, & more. He goes into NYC once a year to the cosmetology expo and it really shows – My husband and I are from down there and were SO impressed!
