I had a wonderful experience and Mike gave me a great tattoo! He also really took care of me making sure to check in and even provided me various opportunities to stretch out and grab some water. He even provided a tattoo balm and a card with thorough and simple after care instructions. He took great pride in his work and his passion showed through! They also have amazing aftercare kits put together and shirts for sale as well! The shop was clean and well looked after.

Mike did a phenomenal job on my tattoo. His vision for my tattoo was much more beautiful than I originally had expected. The shop had a very chill vibe and I enjoyed the 4 hours of conversation and great music they played. Very talented artist and worth every penny! I highly recommend this shop for any of your tattoo needs. If I lived on the island I would return again and again. 10/10

We just got our tattoo’s done today and everything was perfect! I got a flower tattoo from Mike and my sister got her tattoo from Aica. They were very welcoming and generous to our liking on what we wanted for our tattoo’s. ❤️ My sister got a personalized Honu from Aica and her design was incredible! Mike on the other hand was very professional with his work. I really loved my tattoo that he did! Hands down the best tattoo shop in the North Side of Hawaii. ☀️☀️✨✨

Best tattoo shop experience! The website was easy to use to look over all the portfolios and schedule an appointment. They were fast at responding and setting an appointment up for me. My artist was Aika and she had my concept sketched out by the time I arrived, she listened to my input and altered the art to fit my vision and made my dream tattoo come to life! She did such an amazing job, I’m so in love with my tat! The shop was very clean and had a great view of the ocean.

Sat with Mike Naylor today. Asked for a Makau done in the Polynesian style that was free handed. Mike did not disappoint! He began with a freehand drawing that turned into great ink! Mike has a steady hand with light needle pressure, the work is clean and crisp, Mike was friendly and conversational, and shop was top-notch (good atmosphere and clean)! On return trips, I will definitely be looking for more work from Mike, and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for high quality ink! For reference, I have been getting tattooed for 12 years, and have several thousands of dollars of ink from various artists across the country.

Neither of us had a tattoo.We found monarch and loved their story, their location, and their work! We reached out and spoke with Mike and made our appointments.We arrive – I was nervous and I had even changed my mind several times – Mike was super cool, really patient and far exceeded our expectations. He drew out my request and I loved it. He did it way better than I even had it in my mind.He was ready for my son’s appointment too had his already drawn out – showed us to see what we thought and he suggested to go a little bigger and suggested placement. All great suggestions and so glad he made those suggestions. The honu he did on him is absolutely stunning, unique, and we love it!His wife Laura was working on a tattoo that was absolutely beautiful on another person while we were in there too.
