I should have left when my instincts told me to leave after waiting almost a half hour for Mary to arrive to braid all my kids hair. I try to give people grace. Some other girl started to work on my son’s hair so I wouldn’t leave. Mary then arrived late & started on my other son. When she started my daughters hair, her employee asked me to go ahead and pay. I tried giving her my debit card but she said they only accept cash. Why they don’t have a sign up or advise of such PRIOR to is beyond me! Who walks around with a couple hundred of cash on them?! I told her I’d have to go get it. She had the audacity to argue with me and demand I leave my children there while I go get the cash!! Who does that?!! When I kept telling her no, she argued saying it’s safe and police are always around there. Need I say more?! When that wasn’t good enough, she then told me to leave my belongings to ensure I would return! Not one time did Mary intervene and tell her employee to stop harassing me!! Then she started yelling in another language telling me she’s speaking French! What?!! I kept my word and left with my children and belongings to go get cash and returned to pay Mary the owner. You don’t allow your employees to behave this way to customers, especially in front of children!! Beyond Unprofessional!! Then not even 48 hrs later my kids hair is coming unbraided!! Didn’t even braid my son’s hair all the way to near the end! She left more than a few inches of hair out! I will NEVER go back to this so called “business!” Beware!!! Money down the drain and stressed me out!!! ***EDIT TO ADD SINCE YOU LEFT A RESPONSE LYING STATING WE NEVER CAME THERE I JUST ADDED PICTURES INSIDE YOUR SALON OF MY FAMILY! People will KNOW this is the INSIDE of YOUR SALON Now you just proved to be a liar. Disgusting act! Shame on you!!

Found Mary from Google. Needed help braiding my son’s hair. I have been braiding his hair for a while but due to back issues I haven’t been able to. His hair is thick and completely all natural. He’s able to wear it up or down. So happy we found her and she was just amazing. My son is very tender headed but he had no complaints. The style came out just as he wanted. He just loved it. I’m actually booking mine next. Her price is amazing and the work is just as amazing.

Horrible service, I Was told they where going to do my twist after they finished a client, so i waited.I was further acknowledged that i would have to wait longer until after the stylists did her mothers hair, unexpectedly. After waiting 2 clients i was denied service. WILL NEVER SUPPORT THIS BLACK OWNED BUSINESS OR SPEND MONEY WITH THIS BUSINESS.

I never write reviews but felt the need to do so after my experience at this establishment earlier this week. This is my second time bringing my daughter to get knotless braids. Our first experience went smoothly. However, I was disappointed with our second experience. I called ahead to make the appointment and confirmed that the price would be the same as last time. Unfortunately, after the appointment I was told a different price because they did not understand that my daughter wanted her hair to her mid-back and not waist-length. I ultimately only paid what we were quoted. But, the experience was a little uncomfortable and embarrassing to have to discuss in front of the other customers. Also, the braider that did the service this time definitely did not do as good of a job as our previous experience. My daughter got knotless braids but they are not flat in certain areas as you would expect with this service. There are also other issues with her hair that just don’t look as nice as they did the first time we went to the salon. Finally, I was very surprised to see several of the braiders not wearing masks since the staff wore masks on our previous visit. For the future, I plan to find a braiding salon in the area where the prices are communicated more clearly and mask wearing is still required.
