Do not go here! I just returned from a horrible experience at the Madison Reed Color Bar in Lincoln Park. I came in to have my roots dyed and accent highlights. I normally dye my hair at home, just doing the roots although I have had my hair lightened in the past 25+ years of dying my hair. My session started with having to listen to the two girls complain about the condition things were left in from the previous day. They were taking photos of the condition the salon was in for proof.

Q, is an amazing and well educated stylist! She is very sweet and very accommodating! The only probably is that GPS is wrong about the location on where it tells you Madison Reed is! It tells you that it is on your right, but then instructs you to turn right on Larrabee and it took me around a 4 minute ride twice, before I decided to stay on the street instead of listening to turn right once on North Avenue! Also Madison Reed books a new client in a chair every half hour so there is no room for them to accept late clients! They do allow a 10 minute max grace period, but after that they will have to reschedule your appointment.

It pains me to write a negative review, because all the employees I interacted with were so sweet. I went in for an all-over color on my unprocessed hair. I chose Madison Reed because I loved the color options and I was under the impression that the stylists mixed tones; that’s not the case, it was as if I paid someone $100 to dye my hair with MR boxed dye.
