I have received so many compliments on my hair just from coming here and having the color done by Safadi, I’ve sent several girlfriends here! He is amazing and this place is a gem! I am fairly low maintenance so this monthly roots deal is the best. In reading other reviews, I’m not sure why these ladies are treating this salon like a revolving door of random stylists! These are not the “guy” or the “girl” who washed your hair, they have names and I’m sure like Safadi, would love to develop a ongoing relationship with you have you EVER met a stylist who didn’t? This was by far the worst hair color experience I’ve ever had. I scheduled a simple balayage, nothing fancy. My appt started over a half hour late without even an acknowledgement of the delay. The colorist questioned me multiple times if a balayage was really what I wanted which should have been my hint that she didn’t know what she was doing but I assumed that since this was Madison Reed, they wouldn’t book me with someone who wasn’t trained in the service I requested. The stylist didn’t ask me what look I wanted, how I style my hair, absolutely nothing, she just started bleaching, and bleaching she did. I expressed concerned but she assured me she knew what she was doing. My hair sat with bleach on it for nearly 2 hrs, again, I expressed concern and was assured she knew what she was doing. By the time the stylist had finally shampooed my hair it was so badly damaged she couldn’t even get a comb through it without heavy amounts of leave in conditioner. Due to how long she left the bleach in and my appt starting so late, I couldn’t stay to dry my hair and had to rush home. By the time I got home my hair had dried enough to see the finished produce and I believe my daughter described it best “it looks like one of those 80s wigs you buy at a party store and it even feels like one too”. My hair was like straw, haphazardly bleached with no discernible pattern or style, my roots dark as can be, and absolutely no blending.

Respect goes both ways. Madison reed charges you 50% of cost for no-shows but what happens when your stylist no shows? This was a horrible first time experience. I scheduled my appointment 6 weeks in advance and show-up a few minutes before opening time. Two customers get seen before I do and I am informed my stylist is running late. 30 minutes later, once the other stylist is done with his customer, he lets me know he will go ahead and get started on my hair color. So now I am about 40 minutes behind schedule. After processing time is complete. Someone yells my name and points for me to walk over to sink for shampoo. The wash bin is incredibly uncomfortable, sink was too high, chair was too low. I try to explain this to the lady shampooing my hair but she only minimally tries to make it better by putting a towel behind my neck (something she should have done in the beginning). She then points me toward the blow dry section, my hair soaking wet. Did I mention this was my first visit? I don’t know where the brushes are or the hair products. I ask the lady who shampooed my hair and she points me to a drawer. I start to blow dry my own hair. 5 minutes later, she realizes I had paid to get my hair blow dried by the staff so she asks me if she wants me to do it. I had already started and was quite frustrated with the whole situation so I declined. In the end, I paid $114 for the worst customer experience. No apologies, no discount. I will never come again. It is too bad because the location was super convenient and I really wanted it to work out. I guess I’ll cancel the second appointment I pre-booked. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!
