Positive: QualityI came here after a VERY bad experience across the bridge at Lillington’s other nail salon. When I came in, all nail techs were busy with other patrons. A lady told me to sit and someone would be with me shortly. After maybe 15-20 minutes, a spot was open for me. A male, not sure of his name(first table on right when you go in) motioned for me to come on and take a seat. This man went to work on my nails and much to my amazment–they were done in record time! He didn’t talk much, but was very concentrated on his work. To some the quiet might bother but it is fine to me. As long as you do good work on my nails— I can sit there 30 minutes or 2 hours. Main goal for me personally is QUALITY. I hate leaving a nail salon and my nails be bumpy, mismatched shapes, shoddy paint job, etc. My nails are perfect! I would recommend this nail tech to anyone looking a quick and great quality manicure! I came here after a VERY bad experience across the bridge at Lillington’s other nail salon. When I came in, all nail techs were busy with other patrons. A lady told me to sit and someone would be with me shortly. After maybe 15-20 minutes, a spot was open for me. Critical: Professionalism, QualityI have only patronized this nail salon once, and I will not return. The man who prepared my nails for the gel application was sloppy to the point of being dangerous. He splintered my nails with the rotary sander. The pressure was so uncomfortable. I told him that I was not comfortable, but he continued with his rush job. When he applied the base, he pointed to the drying tray to indicate that I was to place my hands under the light. I did not move quick enough, so he impatiently pointed again. He did not trim and shape my nails as I had requested. I do not prefer the French squared nail tip. He did not speak to me the entire time.The hostess who greeted me asked what I wanted. Since it was Dec. 23, I asked for bell shaped nail art on two nails. After the man finished painting my nails, the hostess told him that I wanted the bells. He shook his head, “No.” Then he communicated in another language to one of the other employees, who brought a sheet of decals. I know other patrons who go to this salon and come home with nail art, but this man apparently did not know how to do it.The gel did stay on my nails for more than a month with little to no chipping, but the nail bed was damaged. Today is March 23, and 1/3 of my nail length is cracked and splintered. I am using lotion to keep them moisturized as they grow out.The hostess apologized to me for the man’s behavior as I was leaving. But I am not going back to experiment with other nail techs. I have only patronized this nail salon once, and I will not return. The man who prepared my nails for the gel application was sloppy to the point of being dangerous. He splintered my nails with the rotary sander. The pressure was so uncomfortable. I told him that I was not comfortable, but he continued with his rush job. Critical: QualityWent in on the day before my brothers funeral to get my nails and toes done in his favorite colors the pedicure came out perfect but my nails are a hot mess. I didn’t take the time to really look at them before i left because i was grieving and trying to hurry to get things done because my brothers funeral was the next day. It looks like i need a fill in and its only been 5 days! Went in on the day before my brothers funeral to get my nails and toes done in his favorite colors the pedicure came out perfect but my nails are a hot mess. I didn’t take the time to really look at them before i left because i was grieving and trying to hurry to get things done because my brothers funeral was the next day.
