I had been looking for someone to braid my hair for a couple of months and hasn’t found anyone. My husband had a few friends that had braids done but still had no luck finding anyone. I decided to go on facebook and do sone searching and found a awesome shop called Sister Sister African Braiding in Beaumont Texas located at. 2916 East Lucas Suite B. The work Marina did is phenomenal and she is quick. The workmanship is absolutely beautiful. They take they’re time and don’t rush. It took about 5 hours but I absolutely love my hair and it was worth every penny. If ur looking for a braider I highly recommend you check them out. Not sure why L & G African Braiding comes up. Not the correct address either but use the address on my review for services

Now let me start this by saying I was VERY VERY happy with the end result of my hair. My problem was with the experience. I called and scheduled an appointment three days in advance. On the phone call I tell her I have very thick hair and I ask several times about the type of preparation I would need to do on my hair BEFORE the appointment. She said don’t worry we will take care of it. THOSE WERE HER EXACT WORDS!!!! So I get there and she’s combing my hair…HARD! And its doing nothing because I have EXTREMELY THICK HAIR. (I am not a tinder headed person but this hurt very badly) I Kindly say maybe you should condition it first? She nods her head and shampoo’s and condition’s my hair. This is the part where I got ticked off. She hands ME the BLOW DRYER and tell me to blow-dry my OWN HAIR! With out a mirror or any products. So I sit there in the chair and I blow dry my own hair.

I had a phenomenal experience. I was ready to cut all my hair off because I had a bad experience at another braid shop. BUT my Braid Tech save my hair from the chop shop. My Senagalese are small, sleek and manageable for the uniform I where. A big thank you to Marina for her Gifted Hands!

Very bad experience! Although my hair turned out great. The braider was late. She brought her baby with her as well. They asked how long I wanted my braids then when I told them they told me that was too long. Didn’t make any sense for them to ask but remind you this is my money I’m spending to get what it is that I want. I provided my own hair. For the prices the hair should be included, which they didn’t say…but they do have hair in the back. One guest showed up with nothing and they provided her with her but I keep to myself and didn’t question the guest. I asked for $20 dollars off for the inconvenience and she laughed but agreed thereafter. Briefly started speaking in their language. At the end one braider who then finished my hair go from bottom to top cutting the wild hairs sticking frm the braids which was including my real hair. I had to tell her it’s fine, I didn’t want her cutting way up there. The owner apologized about the inconvenience, but I definitely will not return and don’t recommend anyone go. They were overpaid for very poor service. I just keep calm and still thanked them for their time. Clearly they need the money having to be lifted to work and bringing their young babies.

Unreasonable prices and unprofessional. I asked for 10 jumbo braids and I was told $120. Then the lady caught an attitude with me because I question her pricing. Also told me to stop asking questions about her pricing because I had previously in that past. Made 2 appointments and wasn’t able to show up.

I have been going to them for awhile now and they do a great job! I always bring pictures of what I want and they always execute. Prices are a little steep but so worth it for authentic African braids by authentic Africans.
