I’ve been going to Allie Rae for about 1.5 years now for my 2C curly cut. I’ve left each time more than happy. She is truly an expert at what she does, has never cut off too much of my hair, and knows how to give me shape and volume while keeping it long the way I like. It’s so hard to find a hairdresser who delivers consistently like this! Each haircut feels like visiting an old friend. I’ll stick with Allie Rae as long as she’s around. My curly cut this last time was EXCEPTIONAL❤️➿

So glad I found this place! I came in with a butchered haircut from another salon that chopped 6-7 inches. Clint Denman did an amazing cut with what he had to work with, while also trying to help me keep my length, as I requested – miracle worker! I love my haircut, and they really know how to treat curly hair, which made all the difference. I went and got my hair cut by Kelsey and the whole experience was amazing! I have curly hair and my previous stylist retired from the industry so I was searching everywhere for a new stylist who would cut my hair correctly. I found Juel Salon and although all of their stylists are curly hair trained, I went to Kelsey after seeing her cuts on Instagram. She gave me exactly what I wanted and even gave me some super fun ideas on how to style my new cut (it’s the shortest I’ve ever gone). It was worth the hour drive out there, I’ll definitely be returning!

I really wanted to have a good experience here but I ended up hating my haircut and I had to leave with super wet goey roots on a cold day, even though i told my stylist my tight low porosity type 4 hair does not just “dry” I spent over 30 minutes diffusing at home and at that point my hair had shrank. I also spent 4 hours it done and kept having products put in only to be rinsed out despite the stylist knowing “how to do” kinky curly hair. It was a really uncomfortable experience because it made me feel like I was being experimented on and I felt like even though its a curly hair salon, my think kinky coily hair stood out like a sore thumb and not in a good way.

This place is a must for anyone who has curly hair. Normally, I usually dread getting my hair cut anywhere because they never know what to do with my curls. I end up just telling them to cut it straight across around my collarbones, knowing that if it sucks (and it will) it will just grow back. The DevaCurl stylists at Juel are SO knowledgeable and gracious in how they teach you how to care for your own hair once you leave them that it makes you feel empowered. Highly recommended!

I get my hair done here and it is amazing. My stylist Shatika Howard is excellent. Color is always on point and so are my blow outs. I love when the sunlight hits my hair and I see the color.
