I just got a cut and color here today for the first time. I had the best experience! All of the staff was friendly and welcoming. I am SO happy with my cut and color by Jessy R. She was professional, personable, and knowledgeable. She is thorough and really listens to what you want. I will only be going to her from now on! JCP salon is more affordable, AND the quality surpasses many of the more expensive salons in the area. I highly recommend her!

Went to get the back of my hair “stacked” but Shiane cut it short all over the back, same length, not stacked. To make matters worse, she disconnected the back and the sides. It will take weeks to get it back to where I want it. She is a very nice person, but quite obviously very inexperienced! Stay away from this salon unless you are willing to take a chance.

Went to get my eyebrows done here because I wasn’t in the area of where I normally go and it was terrible!! I’ve never had them done so poorly. The woman had no idea what she was doing. She couldn’t take the hair off with the wax, couldn’t make a shape. Left because I was afraid she would take off too much or create a wrong shape and I paid money to have my eyebrows look no different because she didn’t know how to use the wax. I felt bad because her hands were shaking and she clearly had no idea how to wax but if that’s the case someone in staff should have been watching her or training her. Waste of money. Extremely upset that they wouldn’t train their staff better.

1 star – only because I had to click at least one to write this. Wanted the tips of my hair colored blue. Not only did the process take twice as long as they said it would (was in the chair from 1:30 pm – 4:45 pm) but they dripped the die down my back and wrecked my clothing. They said it was semi-permanent and would last at least 10 washes. They told me to wait 2 days before washing. I waited 3 days, and despite using color safe shampoo, almost all of the color washed out. After the second wash it was gone. $100 for color that wrecks my clothes and is gone in 2 shampoos? I can buy a can of spray-on color at Walmart for $7 that will do that for me.

This is the worst salon I ever been too. They butchered my head. I had longer hair. I asked for a little off the top not too much. Next thing I know she chopped all my hair off. I couldn’t believe it. I was so disgusted I had to leave. Do not get a haircut here. If you do, watch them like hawks.

Emma gave me the worst haircut possible, ripped half my hair out when buzzing it and left random long patches throughout. Went home and had to have my mom buzz it all off, now I look like i’m ready to enlist in the military. Would give it 0 if possible, worst haircut ever. Not to mention she was shaking the whole time which made my hair even more uneven when she was using the already dull scissors.

Are you over the age of 96? Do you need a perm? Better yet, do you still refer to it as a “permanent”? Maybe you just love the smell of abject failure mixed with the faint scent of stale cigarette smoke? Well, if you answered “yes” to any of those questions then this is the place for you! I took my son for a haircut and he, somehow, came out with longer and messier hair! I ushered him, and the “stylist” (though I use that term VERY loosely), back to the chair and tried to give some direction on how to improve the cut but as I watched the slovenly and apathetic woman use the same cutting motion at each new clump of hair she yanked up I realized that the most formal training she’d had was likely watching a how-to-cut-hair video she’d located on youtube after placing multiple tabs of pcp against her gums. When I noticed that she had neither a magic wand nor a time-turning device among her selection of rusty utensils I said, “ok, uh, I guess that’s it” and nudged my son to the exit. The woman slur-grunted in my direction, “Is your daughter ready?” In my confusion and horror I’d almost forgotten that I’d made an appointment for my younger child. She’d been happily flipping through the hairstyle books from the days when bronzer was only made better with feathered bangs (this should have been my first clue). My daughter looked up at me, confused, as I lied to the woman with the sagging skinny jeans and the haphazardly piled hair, “No, I just realized that we’re late for something”. I paid (including the tip, because I’m not a jerk) and scooted the kids out of the store as a woman who wreaked of whiskey shuffled past us, the sound of her smoker’s cough echoing behind us as we sought out the familiar processed air of the attached 21st Century mall.

I’ve been going here for the last few years. A lot of people don’t even know it’s there, but it’s an excellent salon. The stylists are skilled and professional, and more importantly, are knowledgeable about all the latest trends.
