I have been coming to Jacky’s Nail since she open in 2018 when she was at the wake forest location and know when she move to her new location Every time I go, I always leave very happy! I always go to get my full set, pedicure and also to get my eyebrows done The salon is clean and comfortable. I love the friendly, relaxing and very professional, environment. I love that she works by appointment and when you get there she is waiting for you with a big smile. In overall I will recommend everyone to go to her salon and see her you will have a great time

The salon is located in a dodgy area, should have been my first red flag, but I wanted to support a small business and go somewhere new for my monthly pedicure. The salon was completely empty when I came, my second red flag. As soon as I sat in the chair, I was inundated with bugs, spiders and creepy crawlies all over my feet, legs, hands and scurrying across the chair and tub. I have arachnophobia and tried not to panic and brushed off what should have been my third red flag. The pedicure was as basic as they come and the paint job was mediocre at best. The gel was uneven, my cuticles are a mess and she left paint on my skin. I’ve done a better job at home. My skin also started breaking out in hives almost instantaneously. She tried to apply alcohol to the bumps and hives, but to no avail. Still, I slapped on a smile ready to pay for my $45 pedicure ready to leave immediately (price was confirmed beforehand) only to notice she sneakily charged me $49 instead of $45. I was going to give her a $15 tip anyways, out of courtesy, bringing the total to $60, but because she tried to sneakily overcharge me a mere $4 which she didn’t think I would notice (for a truly mediocre job) I left without tipping and decided to write this review to warn others. I’m not sure how this place has the rating it does.

The customer service was not there for me. I read other reviews and got very excited however it was not my experience. My pedicure was AWFUL! I could have done a much better job on my own and it took her fifty minutes to get to me just for me to keep waiting on her to take calls. She attempted to do something I didn’t ask for as well so that bothered me. I canceled getting my acrylic set because I was so bothered by the pedicure so I wouldn’t recommend. She was very nice though.
