Island Salt & Spa is a disgrace! When you go there, you must not ask questions and can only play by their rules and regulations if you want to be treated nicely. Don’t dare ask any questions or breath in a way that can be perceived as an attitude or you will be scolded!

I can’t believe I almost let this gift expire! That was due to a not so friendly phone experience way back in the beginning of the year. Having worked customer service sales over the phone for years, the first point of contact, the phone, is a huge factor for many businesses. From the reviews I would not have given them a shot.

I have read the reviews and most were negative about the front desk, I disregarded them. Today was my second and last time at this establishment. I had a facial, I paid and I asked for change (I had a $100 bill the nerve of me) and the “lady” at the front desk did not acknowledged me. I asked twice and her demeanor immediately changed. Just to add I just booked another facial adding to be $600. She started giving me nasty looks. I looked behind me towards their front window to see if I can find an ATM or something since I am not familiar with the area without saying one word to her and she started freaking out saying “ I don’t know what your problem is you are being disrespectful “ I turned and I replied I was looking for an ATM. She continued to belittle me I was actually in shock I just spend $300 and this is how these people are acting. ?? She finally gave change not until she kept saying they had such a busy day yesterday ( Saturday) and no one went to the bank she would have to leave a note for the owner. I asked for the owners name twice and she ignored me. After breaking the precious $100 bill she said nothing else. Not thank you goodbye anything. I felt very uncomfortable and for a minute I thought I was being pranked. This behavior is unacceptable and there must a culture that allows customers to be treated like garbage. My husband and I will never step a foot in this rude no manners place.

This was an amazing experience from start to finish. The woman who worked the front desk was very welcoming. I had the Island Spa treatment w/ Effie and a facial with Heidi. Both ladies were engaging, friendly, and highly professional. If you are looking to go somewhere to treat yourself and receive a high level of service, check this place out! Will definitely be back again!

While the massage I had there a few weeks ago was absolutely amazing and the therapist was friendly (just found out this is the owner). I had another service booked for the 6th. My 2 month old daughter wasn’t feeling well and I was taking her to the dr, I called to let them know earlier the she was up all night and wanted to come later but she still wasn’t well, so I called again to let them know I wanted to reschedule for a different date. They policy is to charge a fee for cancellations and I totally understood that but the woman Pam I spoke to wanted to take the remainder of my gift card for the cancellation. So rather than take care of my baby, they want me to show up there or lose the present I got for my birthday. No compromise. I don’t get time to myself often and was looking forward to this but couldn’t get anyone to come sit with the baby! The therapists are wonderful but the office staff, no so much! Just beware if you have a family emergency, you will be charged in full!

So disappointed, I was a repeat customer until Carla or Carol today had a bad day… I was trying to call and inform I was running late to my appointment and she was so unbelievably rude, after her lecturing me about the “disclaimer” when I booked online… she actually then told me that they don’t want my business, then charged my card, and hung up on me. I couldn’t believe it. You get what you give and she shouldn’t be answering the calls. Unbelievable.
