I have waited a while before writing this review because I wanted to forget but frankly I hope this helps others if considering using this business. I had booked a Wedding Elopement package with hair and makeup for myself and I have never dealt with a more disorganized business prior to this. I had booked a spray tan the Friday before my wedding on Sunday. Then a week before my wedding it got canceled without being rescheduled. Something no bride wants to stress about a week before their big day. Through several phone calls they were able to call someone in since that date and place was no longer available to do my spray tan. The spray tan was NOT worth the money, it was patchy and not due to anything I did. I have had SEVERAL spray tans in my lifetime and this one was the worst one I have had which on your wedding isn’t what makes a bride feel beautiful. They refunded me for that however it was just the cherry on the other services. The morning of my wedding I was expecting my hair stylist at 9AM which is what I sent with my schedule a few weeks prior to my big day. And low and behold no show… waited 30 minutes to call and come to find out they claim I stated 10AM for show time. Needless to say hair and makeup was running behind. I felt rushed and it wasn’t a great experience. My hair braid came out sloppy and since their was no time left to fix it I just went with it. My makeup is another story. My eyes were left with weird creases and some eye shadow flaked outside of my eyelid, my eyeliner was jagged and my eyelashes were put on uneven. My foundation was nice but I had to fix my contour and highlight once she left because it came out smudgy and didn’t look right. Essentially everything was moved behind because there wasn’t enough time to fix what needed to be fixed. I wish I would have saved money on my makeup because my sister could have done a better job. DO THE TRIAL because you may find that their services aren’t as good as their pictures look and find that the person doing your hair and makeup aren’t a nice as they sound on the phone. Not to mention my artist seemed annoyed and cold the whole time she was doing my hair and makeup. Needless to say I could have saved money and had a much better experience on my wedding day had I used a different artist.

When I started my vacation was a month away. I explained how I didn’t want to get sunburned while I was on vacation. I started tanning and by time my vacation got here I was looking real good. Once there. My friends was so jealous on how dark I was compared to them. While the was putting sun block on and burning still I was putting tanning oil on me and feeling great. Joining them was the best thing I have spent my money on. The staff is always friendly, and make me.feel welcome

I recently got my hair styled for my wedding and for the amount of years of experience she claimed to have, the lack of proper communication, professionalism, and execution of my wedding hair style was atrocious. I couldn’t believe that I was expected to pay in full without having exact confirmation or communication from the salon. She was extremely rude to my grandmother and my hair turned out nothing like I asked for, which is shocking for the amount of awards and accomplishments they seem to flaunt. The way she worked was very rushed and not relaxed at all which made me as a bride and my party feel very stressed that morning. I can’t believe the ridiculous amount I paid for something I could’ve done better myself for my wedding.

I am usually very happy with the service I receive at island glow. The staff is nice and they get you in and out pretty quickly. Today I went in for an appointment I scheduled in advance to get a spray tan. There was a party of 4 already waiting in the lobby when I got there at my appointment time. The technician said that she would get to me in a few minutes. She let the whole party of 4 get tans before me and none of them had appointments. I waited over 30 minutes past my appointment time. What is the point of scheduling an appointment, honestly? I don’t mind waiting 5-10 minutes. But 30+ minutes is excessive when I booked a specific time. Especially since the people in front of me were walk-ins.

Island Glow is a very great spray tan place! I originally was very intimidated of spray tans due to previous experiences to other places I had been to. They really educate you about their products and assure you YOU WONT TURN ORANGE!!!! Also, if there are any issues they are always willing to fix them without charge or give advice on the best solution.The prices are very good and the customer service is excellent!
