When I first step foot into Zen Hair Lounge, I thought that it was a nice place. It’s decorate very nice, and looks really nice. Though I can’t say the same about the employees. The lady that did my braids (zy’shae) knew I couldn’t find the right hair and said that my hair that I bought was fine but was too long. So I then went to the store and purchased 2 packs of 18 inch hair with 4 bundles in each thinking she could keep feeding in hair down the braid as many people told me. I get their she seemed to forget I couldn’t find the hair and tells me she’ll stretch it. She starts doing my hair and pauses to go get pizza and eats it while I’m sitting in her chair. I don’t know about you guys but I have never went to a stylist who takes lunch breaks. Anyway she finishes and continues to do my hair, she’s done after 2 hours. And my hair is thick at the top, thin at the bottom, and the parts are huge and don’t all match in size. It looked like a rushed job tbh. I told her and the owner how I didn’t not like it and how I wanted a refund or at least a partial refund, or for them to be redone. They said they would not refund me because I got “the wrong hair”, and that if I wanted it redone I had to pay at least half. For 240 dollars this was not what I wanted at all, but you live and you learn I guess. Although they did not refund me, the owner was nice about the situation, can’t say the same about the one that did my hair though.

Love! Love! Love! The salon is glam vibes all around. The owner is nice and friendly, not afraid to chat. The stylist Shae did my small knotless braids with boho ends. She was quicker than I expected and the braids are so neat and painless. I’ll definitely make my way back there! Braids
