Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI got my hair dyed here about a month ago. At first the dude Sam was super nice and offered me a student discount. However, my hair came out looking sooooo bad. Very uneven, poorly toned and splotchy. He then proceeded to blame me for being cheap and not explaining what I wanted clearly (I asked for him to lighten my hair, like a balayage/ombré). Even so, he ended up charging me more than he originally stated BEFORE my hair was even done and I had looked in a mirror. Lesson learned: don’t pay until you’ve seen the final look. I called and asked for a half refund and he never sent me a response. I had to go pay someone else to fix it. Not good quality service, unprofessional behavior, and overall a very upsetting experience. Not sure this guy knows what he’s doing when it comes to hair coloring. I needed a quick trim due to a little mistake at another salon. Sammy was closing for the day but said, “Come on over, I’ll give it a quick fix” and he DID! What a genuinely nice guy in addition to be being a talented stylist! I’m from out of town, but I will be telling my local friends about him AND will be returning any time I’m in the area. Thanks for a great fix and generous offer.
