I highly recommend Chelsea here! I’ve been going to her for a little over a year and change and she has helped me grow out my pixie cut to a bob without wanting to chop it all off in between because of the frustration. She was able to guide me through the process, give me pointers, recommend products that actually help vs just trying to make a sale, and overall help me feel a bit more beautiful.

I tried this salon after a poor experience at another local salon and the first hair cut was great – the stylist was awesome but my most recent visit was horrible. I had called to schedule an updo for a wedding and also asked if I could get a trim at the same time since I hadn’t had it cut in 6 months. They scheduled it. I washed my hair and showed up with my hair wet. The stylist asked me about what I wanted done and I told her a trim and showed her an updo. She said they don’t usually cut hair if they’re doing an updo and I said why did they book the appointment that way then? The manager did not act like a manager. She was not apologetic, she said the employee had been talked to previously but they couldn’t call me because there was no phone number associated with my appointment, even though I’d been there before and when I said this situation should be discussed with the employee, the manager said she arrives at noon. The manager left at 11:55am. She offered nothing to rectify my frustration. I won’t be going back.

Positive: Professionalism, ValueI took my 6 year old chatterbox son for a haircut last week. I wish I could remember the stylists name because she was great!! She was patient and listened to all his stories. He wanted a mohawk. She did exactly what he wanted and it turned out perfectly. Will definitely be back for touch ups!!Service: Haircut

I visited Holiday Hair East Greenville after spending 4 hours at another salon and having my hair butchered. At the other local salon, I went for highlights and was asked if it was okay if she trimmed it. I said yes, and to retain as much length as possible. 4 hours, roughly 4″ and $300 later, my beautiful mid-back length hair was gone, falling just below my shoulders. I was in tears having spent years to attain the length I had. I attempted to angle my hair myself around the face and stopped knowing that I had no idea what I was doing so, I went to Holiday Hair hoping that they had availability for a walk in to put some layers in and frame my face. I walked in very emotional. Stylist Julia was available help me right away and sat me down in her chair asking what happened. She was so polite, friendly, kind, caring and reassuring. She didn’t make light of the fact that I was so upset about my hair, in fact, she validated that it was normal to be as upset as I was and assured me she could fix it up. She first noticed the cut was uneven, showing me in the mirror the area that needed to be evened out and said she was going to fix it but that I wouldn’t lose any more length as it was underneath and only slightly uneven. She then asked if I wanted it washed suggesting that it’s best to have wet hair for layering, she also suggested a purple shampoo when washing as I was frustrated that my prior appointment left my hair yellowish around the front. After washing, she asked me if I had layers before and asked if I preferred long or short layers. She began cutting long layers and angling the hair around my face, providing a beautiful face framing. She offered to blow dry it and took her time styling as she dried it. When she turned me around to see the finished product, I felt the biggest sigh of relief. Obviously I was still upset about losing so many inches but she made me feel more like myself again. It had so much movement and body, the layers laid perfectly on my shoulders and just below. She suggested a hair oil to keep my freshly bleached hair soft (let me note that she 100% did not try to upsell me or push any products it was more of a suggestion for the care of my hair and keeping it healthy than her just trying to sell me something I didn’t need). Julia helped me love my hair while I wait for it to grow out. She also provided me with some knowledge and hair tips while she cut and styled me. She is a hidden gem in the Upper Perk Valley and a true asset to Holiday Hair. I am so glad to have stumbled upon her and grateful that she fixed my hair. I’d give her more than 5 stars if I could. Go see Julia for your next cut, you’ll be over the moon happy!

Am totally bummed out about my recent haircut cut this past Thursday evening. I told the stylist that I was trying to grow my hair out and I just needed it to be a bit more graceful. She cut so much off in so many places and it set me back many months and I despise the shape. I’m very feminine and it does not look feminine at all. It looks much too older for me too. I’m unhappy with it. I won’t go back again. I feel like the salon worker simply did not listen to what I said I wanted and did what she would have wanted if my hair was on her head.

Called them last minute and they were very nice on the phone. They were able to see me right away. The location was clean and the person who helped me was friendly and professional. I was very impressed with how nice they were and made me feel like they truly wanted my business. I got a great haircut at a reasonable price and could not be more happy with the service. My old place couldn’t see me because I was 5 minutes late. No one else there. Guess they wanted to close early. Fine by me. I am much happier spending my money where my business is welcome. I highly recommend Holiday Hair….

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueMy stylist, Chelsea, was welcoming and warm right from the start. This place did the complete opposite of what I asked them. I boxed dyed my hair and it turned out pretty gingery. So I asked them to dye it blonde and try to take the reddish orangish color out of it. Instead, she did highlights that dyed my hair even more ginger and red. The highlights that were semi-blonde are underneath of my head and are zebra stripes. I am very disappointed and wish I could give zero stars for how terrible my hair turned out. My hair is extremely dry now and orange.

I went here around the end of December and asked my hair dresser to cut off all the dead ends. I told her that I don’t really like layers, and said that if she does give me layers to make sure they are very close to the end of my hair. She then proceeded to chop off a single layer a little bit below my ear. It was very choppy and unblended so I did have someone else fix it. I called back asking for a refund, in which I have yet to receive. They did tell me it would take a while, but three months?
