I should have known from what I observed in the lobby that this appointment would not go as expected. I arrived at 10:50 for an 11:00 appointment. I was told I was fully checked in and asked if I wanted to use the bathroom. After coming back from the bathroom I sat in the lobby waiting to be called. I wasn’t called until 10 minutes after my appointment time. Then when I get in the room the therapist tells me my paperwork is not in order and I need to complete an intake (why? I’ve been with Hand and Stone for 5 years!!) which was never mentioned by front desk personnel. She assured me I would be compensated for the missed time of my massage as it was now 11:15. I filled out as much paperwork on the tablet as I could as she claimed it was giving her problems and then she left. She returned to begin my massage at approximately 11:20am…she was done at 12:06!!!!! Despite telling her the areas I wished to cover (legs, arms, and lower back) and requesting firm pressure, she spent 30 minutes doing a one handed massage focused on my shoulders. Not once did both of her hands touch me at the same time. Neither did she touch my thighs or my lower back. I could have gotten a better massage from my 13 year old niece. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed!!!! I also requested an upgrade to the percussion massage which she used like she was scared of the machine. I am ticked that I wasted 7,000+ points on this massage. I will never go back to this location again. I’m sticking with Hainesport!

I had my first massage here back in September the therapist was extremely nice and did a fantastic job. The reason for my two stars is last month I scheduled my appointment and had a family emergency come up and was not able to make it. When they called and asked if I was coming I apologized and said I had an emergency before I could even go any further the girl on the phone hung up on me!! I have also submitted a cancellation via the website the end of last month and nothing. I will be filing a complaint with the department of consumer affairs and with the BBB.

The other negative reviews, sums up my experience. Showed up early got taken back 20 mins late, my service was roughly 30 mins for an hour facial. Got overcharged at the desk for add-ons that were never discussed and I then disputed. My massage therapist left the room 3 times during my facial, for a few mins at a time, and had to replenish supplies during my service as well. All the while my facial was completed by the time it should have been done, if it were a punctual service. Oh and the manager, was extremely unapoligetic and very passive aggressive. Not the experience I needed after a long hard week, so therefore, I will not be back. I work too hard for that type of aggrevation. Go back to school ladies!

I went here as a recommendation from a friend for a massage with Heather. I booked online and the appt was a month out because of how booked they were. I have been going to hand and stone for years with no issues prior to today. I was on time for my appt but the woman at the desk was having a casual conversation while I was waiting to be helped then after a couple minutes she finally decided to help me. I told her I was there for my appt with Heather and she said oh no it’s with someone else. I explained it specifically booked with Heather and she goes well she’s booked today and that’s not what is here. If you booked online that’s why. Even though online it said Heather I was booking with. I told her that I was upset and that is there anyway I can be seen and she said no and told me to either try the girl or come back another time. If I didn’t have specific needs that i knew from my friend Heather could handle I may have. I’m upset because I was inconvenienced after waiting for a month for my appt and after being a loyal customer for years did not offer any type of coupon or something. I left and didn’t book again. It’s a shame that they couldn’t have cared less. I will be going to another hand and stone moving forward and will not recommend.

Most times, like today, my massage starts late and ends early or on time. Today I received a 40 minute, average, disappointing massage. I know why this happens but it is unacceptable practice.

The worst place to be at ..their members package is a joke. You can’t even cancel it when you want to. They have so many tricks up their sleeves. When you ask them to freeze your card, there’s a fees for that ..so be careful when you signed up for something like this company.

I booked an appt online. I received two text messages confirming my appointment as well as FOUR emails confirming my new account with Hand and Stone as well as confirming my appointment. I show up to my appointment and I’m told from the staff “ Sorry our online system glitches all the time and it doesn’t book appointments properly and no slot was made for you, this is why we don’t recommend using the online service” . No effort made to fit me in despite the company’s error. I just decided to go somewhere who wants my business.

Mad at myself for coming here despite the reviews. The lady was very nice, but I couldn’t even tell she was rubbing my neck, and that’s after I told her she could use more pressure. I walked out of there with more tension.

The front desk team of Allison and Erin are exceptional in their customer service skills. It is clear that their professionalism and empathy are genuine and I felt taken care of throughout the process of scheduling and RENEWING my monthly membership which I had previously decided to cancel based on an experience with another center.

Prices are a little high for the length of time of the facial. Also, I was put off by the somewhat pushy “up sell” on products and services. I don’t like to be constantly asked questions of if I want to “add this, or buy that”. Technician was nice and I enjoyed the facial, however, I was a little surprised that the session was only 40 minutes. I think they should make their facial prices a little more reasonable OR lengthen the time of them.
