When beginning my facial, I was not asked to remove my jewelry. After undressing from waist up and having began the facial I was asked to remove my diamond pendant necklace. Being that I was topless getting up was not really an option, so I placed it on top of the fleece blanket that I was under.

I came here for a facial and massage. All 3 stars are just for the facial. The esthetician was AMAZING. If I only got a massage tho, they would get zero stars. It was horrible. Telling her my problem areas was wasted breath, as she didn’t focus on them at all. She also didn’t pick up that I didn’t want to talk and kept chatting with me. Front desk staff also basically mean mugged me when I got there. There was no welcoming vibe upon check in. 10/10 recommend the facial. 0/10 do NOT recommend a massage here. Also 10/10 recommend getting nicer front desk staff.

I recently joined the monthly club at the Middletown location and found this amazing therapist Aaron, he knew all the trigger points and to be honest he gave the best massage I’ve ever had. He was very knowledgeable it was such a relaxing massage. I started going more frequently, and i just recently found out that he will be leaving the establishment… I have to say I am very disappointed to have learned this information because he is the best massage therapist I have been to.

If you are pregnant, do yourself a favor and book with Amelia. I did a massage with her once a month for my entire pregnancy, and the SLEEP you get that night just can’t be beat. She’s extremely knowledgeable about pregnancy, and I felt safe and taken care of. I already know that I’ll do prenatal massages with her again for my next pregnancy.

Used to be good, but the last several appointments I made were cancelled due to issues with their staff. The appt I made for my husband they scheduled on the wrong day in a different month, my last scheduled appt was cancelled due to the massage therapist having car trouble, my appt in 2 weeks from now was just cancelled bc that provider will also not be in. And there is never availability to get another appointment anytime soon after they cancel. I was told I would have to wait another month for the next appointment on a weekend. What is the point of having a membership here? I have all of these credits that I paid for and can never use!

I am a monthly member who has had on the date of my massage a last minute cancellation all on Saturdays for three out of my last four appointments. This is despite the fact that each appointment was confirmed by text two days in advance and on the morning of the service. Each time it was the same excuse, the employee called in sick. Not even creative enough to change it up. AVOID Hand and Stone at all costs. A big disappointment.

i just recently became a member at hand and stone and get facials by jenessa and let me tell you my skin has never felt so good, hydrated, and healthy. my skin has been glowing since i started getting facials by jenessa. it’s been days since i got my last facial and my skin still feels as good as it did after the facial. every time i get a facial with jenessa she leaves my skin feeling amazing. if you are looking to book with anyone for a facial and aren’t sure who definitively recommend jenessa. plus she felt me feel comfortable, was super sweet, and answered any questions i had about what she was doing. plus after my first facial she helped me pick out products by dermalogica that hand and stone have that would work best with the type of skin i have and walked me through the steps on when and how to use them. 100% recommended!

Wonderful experience at Middletown Hand and Stone. I arrived a few minutes early and was taken promptly. My massage with Tabitha was excellent and the space was pleasant, clean and quiet. I haven’t had a massage in many years, but made an appointment to return soon. Great experience.

I love this spa but when they decide to cancel your appointment because someone at the spa makes a mistake and they don’t want to own it, they don’t deserve a good rating. I have been a customer for YEARS and have regularly scheduled appointments but for some reason rather than offering me an alternative appointment they chose to tell me “sorry we have to cancel you”. If it weren’t for Leah I’d absolutely find another place to give my business to, you do not treat long term clients like afterthoughts, there’s a reason why I return regularly.
