I asked for a low tapper, the lady told me she didn’t know what that was. I asked her if she knew what a shadow was and no luck. She tells me her lowest is a zero which is skin and one being the next size up. I show her where I’d like the fade to begin and as soon as she touched me with the clippers she goes about an inch and a half higher than I showed her. She ends up using the same clipper guard from bottom to where a high fade would be. Chops away with the cheapest scissors I’ve ever seen using some Edward scissor hands technique. When the wreck is over and she ask me how I like it, I’m brutally honest and tell her I don’t like it all and point out she used the same guard from top to bottom, she informs me that it’s a 1 and then 1.5. I let her know this isn’t at all what I wanted and she tells me she’s been cutting hair for 28yrs. I have no doubt but it doesn’t change the fact. I didn’t enjoy paying for a bad cut but most barbers or stylist let it go when you tell them it’s the worst haircut you may have ever had. I would not recommend this to any males, females I can’t speak for. It’s your hair.
