The reviews didn’t sound to promising, but we gave it a shot with our three year old and it was the first haircut ever without tears. Our first time there my less than a year old son was really upset (but he gets that way anywhere we go for haircuts). The lady wasn’t too friendly and didn’t say a word beyond asking us what haircut. My son is way more comforted when people talk nicely to him instead of a silent stranger touching his hair.

I love going to this place to take my kids for their haircuts but today I called to schedule an appt and the lady who answered said they didn’t have anything for today that she can get us in tomorrow so I said I couldn’t cuz of my work schedule, and so I said thanks I’ll call back and she didn’t even bother waiting to say something back she just HUNG UP ON ME!! The hair stylist here is sooo patient with my autistic child. He has sensory issues and the clippers tend to trigger him so she let’s him feel the vibration first so he gets comfortable enough to let her use them on his hair. She engages in small talk with him even when he starts speaking jargon bc he’s so excited.

So they call themselves a Childrens Hair Salon, one thing about that is they don’t know how to handle cutting children’s hair, especially ones who are tiny and scared so they cry and reach for mom. I was very hesitant to cut my sons hair because it was longer and beautiful, but it was getting in his eyes, so I decided to take him to Whipper Snippers today to get it TRIMMED. Once we sat down Daisy approached me and asked what I wanted, I said I like the length but I want it trimmed a little and definitely want it out of his eyes. My son started freaking out because this is new to him and she gets a RAZOR, not scissors to chop his hair, I was so busy trying to keep him calm I was barely noticing what she was doing, when she was done I was in shock so I just left, it didn’t hit me until we were outside that she had performed a botch job on my son, a trim turned into cutting off all his hair. When I told her about this she said your son was moving around a lot, I said “Yeah, that’s why I went to a CHILDREN’S HAIRCUT place, if you couldn’t handle it, communicate with me, don’t chop it off. She said she maybe cut a little more because of the way he was acting in the chair…..I will let you be the judge of that!!1 BEWARE…DON’T GO TO THIS PLACE THEY DON”T LISTEN AND THEY DON’T CARE.
