I took my 4yo son here for a trim coz his hair is touching his eyes and ears but ended up with a shorter haircut than I requested. I pointed it out to the barber (I think he is new) who cut my son’s hair and he kindly apologize, but the other barber (Asian guy and probably the owner) insisted that it was a good haircut. I argued that it is not the point and more importantly not what I asked for but kept on saying “it was a good haircut.” He even said “well maybe you should buy your own clipper if you prefer a certain haircut.” Such a disrespectful and arrogant thing to say to a paying customer. So, you mean to tell me, that it doesn’t matter what kind of haircut I want as long as it’ll look good then everything is ok??? If that’s the case, maybe you should put out a sign that says “enter at your own risk coz what you want is not what you will get.” I’m a big fan of small/local business owners but this one just blatantly disrespectful. Here’s my piece of advice to you my brother, if you make a mistake own it, apologize sincerely and move on just like what your apprentice did. Instead, you would rather make excuses and act arrogantly and disrespectful to your paying customers.

Been there several times with my son. I am from Northern Virginia and will wait to get me haircut and go there when I know that I am visiting Chesapeake. Used to love this place and talked very highly of it in the past but had to walk out today. Had an appointment and the owner Pete took a customer who walked in 1 minute before my appointment. He did the same thing to me a couple of months ago and made me me wait for over an hour. I waited 30 minutes today only to get a shoulder shrug when I asked how much longer (and why I got bumped) – only an offer to take one one of the other barbers. Says a lot about a place (and an owner) when you get zero accountability when things are going wrong. I know people like this place. But I will never return.

This is the first time I went to this barbershop and I was a walkin. I got lucky as Sue was available and she showed me go to a chair. I vaguely gave her an idea of that I wanted. Mainly, the sides short and a beard trim. Sue went to work and I was well pleased with the end result. I will definitely go back and have Sue cut my hair, i think I have found my new barber. Great experience.

I went in no wait and sat right down in a young dudes chair. Asked for a low fade and a “tiny trim” on top (walked in with about 4in of length on top.) After OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF in this guys chair I leave the shop with a high and tight and less than 2 inches of hair cut into almost a faux hawk shape??? on top of my head. Honestly save yourself the time and headache I’ve never had a barber be so off base of what I asked for

I don’t trust my hair with many people. However, in her hands, I have all the confidence in the world! I have yet to see one messed up haircut leave the shop! Pete and his staff there all do an amazing job with adults and children! 2 of my kids have autism and they have never been made to feel less than or out of place.
