Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI was BLOWN AWAY from my experience today at Gymkana Blue Salon. It was my first visit. I had noticed the beauty and uniqueness of the salon from driving by and was excited to visit. I was fortunate that there was a cancellation so I was able to book with the owner, Heidi withing days and wow was she spectacular and talented! She took such care and time with my color and cut. I could not be happier! And the products are top of the line, paying attention to sustainability/environment and clean beauty. Their line is from Italy and fabulous! The prices are very affordable and nice as well. Thanks Heidi for such a wonderful experience today! I was BLOWN AWAY from my experience today at Gymkana Blue Salon. It was my first visit. I had noticed the beauty and uniqueness of the salon from driving by and was excited to visit. I was fortunate that there was a cancellation so I was able to book with the owner, Heidi withing days and wow was she spectacular and talented! She took such care and time with my color and cut. She listened to what I wanted and we discussed everything upfront – we were totally vibing and on the same page. Once she got to work, I had complete confidence in her work, and I was able to relax and enjoy every luxurious, yummy-smelling product that was used. I cannot recommend Gymkana Blue enough! I had my first appointment last night with Kayla, and she completely transformed my hair. She listened to what I wanted and we discussed everything upfront – we were totally vibing and on the same page. Once she got to work, I had complete confidence in her work, and I was able to relax and enjoy every luxurious, yummy-smelling product that was used. What I ended up with was everything I knew I wanted and more. I feel fresh and fab!

Thank you Ashley! It’s always so nerve racking going to a new stylist, especially with blonde hair. Ashley did a wonderful job. She was able to make my hair nice and bright, as well as maintaining the integrity of my hair. The salon is super clean, and everyone seemed very friendly.

The staffs here are really friendly and helpful. The salon is super unique and beautiful. Great price and quality. I had Danelle for my hair cut and perm. She did a very good job on my hair and give me useful advices. Highly recommend !

Gymkana Blue is the G.O.A.T! I moved to Dubuque 2 years ago and I hadn’t had a haircut I was even really content with – I tried a lot of places. My first appointment was with Sara who actually cared what I looked like when I left the salon rather than just giving a cut and not caring if I came back in for repeat business or not. I am actually excited to go in and get my haircut now.

I love Gymkana Blue. Everyone welcomes you as soon as you arrive and you are treated like royalty for your entire appointment. There are a lot of “extras” they do during your appointment that really stand out among other salons such as refreshing your makeup before you leave and many more. I love this salon.

The cut was exactly what I wanted but the color was extremely rushed and not at all correct. Before starting the color I said I did NOT want charcoal. Danielle said ok and then when finishing said I know you didn’t want it this dark but I didn’t want you it to be too light. This is something she should have said BEFORE completely changing the color of my now nonexistent blonde. When I called the salon they were no help but to tell me to continue to wash it and it should fade within a week and that Danielle wasn’t in until tomorrow, but I could pay someone else there to fix it. They also mentioned that since everyone at the salon are independent stylist Danielle would be the only one who could fix it. Extremely disappointed and will not recommend or go back.
