I could cry I’m so happy. As a Muslim women, it’s very vulnerable with huge sense of insecurity to be uncovered in public. They protected me by ask men to leave the store and shielded me from their eyes. So many places don’t understand, let alone respect, Muslim women enough to go this extra length.

This salon is incredible, a diamond in the rough. While you get your services they are playing music and chatting the vibe is great! Cassy did my graduation makeup, she was incredibly professional and knowledgeable about the certain makeup that would last and not crack on my combination skin. She is able to create just about any design or look. It’s also very inexpensive although I would pay much more for what I got.

I had Guisela’s hair & makeup service for my wedding day and I was not disappointed. Not only did my makeup last me all day and all night, it looked flawless in the summer heat!! I felt so beautiful on my big day. Vianey went to my house for a reasonable fee, and did my hair and makeup! I gave her a few inspiration pictures and she went with it. A week prior to my wedding day I went to get my hair retouch. Without a picture I verbally told Vianey what I wanted, and it turned out exactly how I envisioned it. She is truly amazing at her job and I will continue to get my hair and makeup done with her!!! You also are able to communicate your likes and dislikes without feeling judged. I couldn’t be happier to have chosen Guisela’s Beauty Salon for my wedding day! 🙂

Guisela and crew has been amazing-very professional and knowledgeable as well as personable and friendly, very down to earth! They came to my home to do make up and up do’s for me and the bridal party, including my mother (and yes ladies, they will drive to your place to do make up and hair which is a plus for any bride as this is a stress reducer!!!). They are receptive to our needs and culturally sensitive to the colors of make up to match it as exactly to the skin. Prior to the day of the wedding, Vianney did a trial run at their salon-she took her time with me working together in terms of colors and hairstyle. Very impressed on how receptive and open>if the colors don’t feel right, she and the team will work with you until you are satisfied! Their prices are reasonable. This place is a Golden Nugget. I wish their salon was nearby where I live as I would be a regular (in Barrington). Definitely and highly recommended!

I went to get my makeup done there for my birthday photoshoot. The girl who did my makeup did not do a good job. She spreads the glitter al over my face and my face looked so bad. Also, she did not even know how to apply lashes , she asked me for my help. So the makeup was messed me up for my session. That was the worse experience ever.
