Critical: ValueNot so Great Clips… I took my three year old son here for a haircut and the haircut was fine. When I went to pay, I had a coupon for $7.99 child haircut (normally $14). The system wouldn’t take it because it had expired by one day. These are the coupons they send in the mail monthly – so I’m sure I’m getting another one any day now… I asked if they could still take it or had some other coupon to use, and she informed me that their manager, Nancy, had already decided earlier in the day that they could not take a one-day expired coupon. Well Nancy… take my family of 5, multiple that by 8 haircuts per person per year, multiplied by the number of years before we leave the wretched state of IL, and that’s the amount of revenue your business just lost by not being flexible on a $6 off coupon (plus lost value for bad reviews on Google and Yelp).Also, the state of IL has said we don’t need masks if we’re vaccinated, so why are we being asked to wait outside, wear masks inside, and why is your bathroom closed to customers?? Great Clips policy was to take walk ins until closing time. What happened to that policy? I came in at 6:15 and there was 1 person ahead of me. 18 min per cut, she could of has me in the chair before 7pm. Turned away.
